I sat in my room on my bed. I was watching The Vampire Diaries on Netflix before dinner. Katherine is so much more interesting than Elena. Soon enough, my dad called me down. I paused my episode and jogged downstairs.

"Hey kiddo," my dad said as he got out plates and pizza.

"Hey dad, how was the meeting today?" I asked grabbing a slice and shoving it in my mouth.

My dads a baseball coach, along with my other best friend's dad's. Raven and Eli, all our dads grew up playing baseball together and were best friends. All our moms were away this summer, they all co owned a company. They are supervising the construction of one of the company's new buildings.

"Oh, just same old same old." He said avoiding eye contact. Somethings up, he always makes eye contact when talking. His is eyes are going everywhere but me, poor dad. He's a horrible liar.

My dad and I are best friends. We talk about sports a lot and we go on runs together. Even though he's a baseball coach I never took interest in playing the sport like softball. It just didn't appeal to me. But I am perfectly capable of throwing a ball.

"Whats wrong?" I asked sighing.

"We'll talk after dinner, so how was your day?" He said.

"Good, summer just started so today I had a Netflix marathon with myself." I said.

"Sounds overly exciting." He said in a sarcastic voice. I rolled my eyes at his comment.

"What? I was bored, and my friends were to lazy to get out of bed today after our morning run." I said defending my self.

"Oh, how long did you girls go for?" He asked.

"We had long run today, so we ran eight miles, and my legs are sore." I said rubbing my legs.

See, all my best friends and I are cross country runners. We've been running since the fifth grade together. We practically do everything together.

"Have you iced your legs?" He asked.

"Yeah, when I got home, I iced my legs and took a shower." I said. We soon got done with dinner and I started cleaning up.

"Let me clean up, go out onto the deck backyard cause I need to talk to you about something." He said. I nodded my head slowly and walked outside sitting on a chair.

What does he want to talk about? He tells me everything right away, usually...

I stare at the sun waiting to set and the sunlight reflect on the pool in my backyard. I hear the door open and my dad sit next to me.

"So there is something I need to tell you." He said slowly.

"Yes?" I asked.

"So this summer we are running a baseball camp, its out farther away from the town. Its taking place near a bunch of baseball fields and the players are staying in a hotel. This year, your moms not home during it, and I can't leave you here by yourself for 2 month,." My dad started explaining.

Um...I don't like where this is going...

"So Your coming with me to camp this year." He said. My jaw dropped.
