I got done unpacking and started reading texts in the girls group chat. They were talking about how they already met cute guys.
Great. I feel left out. I decided I needed food. Food cheers me up. I go out into the hallway and see a vending machine. I go up and get some chips.
I spot a vending machine with a guy in front of it. I don't think it was working because he kicked it and punched.
"Geez, what did the machine ever do to you?" I asked.
"Well not give me my food-" he said and then stopped when he looked up at me.
"Hi," he said smiling.
"Hi," I said getting nervous.
"Oh well I know a trick." I said and went up to the vending machine. He stepped out of the way.
"So which one did you want?" I asked scanning the snacks.
"The granola bar," he said pointing to the one in the middle.
I hit each 4 corners and then hit the spot where the granola bar was. It came out and dropped to the bottom of the machine.
"Woah, thanks..." He paused waiting for me to say my name.
"I don't know if I should tell you my name, my dad told me not to give it out to strangers." I said putting a finger on my chin.
"Okay. Well then, see ya around, mystery girl." He said and walked off, just to turn over his shoulder and winked at me. Then he was gone.
It took me a second to realize what just happened.
Oh my cheese...
I squealed like a little girl but then put my hand over my mouth and started smiling like crazy.
I got some chips and texted our group chat. This is gonna be a fun summer.
