Ten walked up the stairs, huffing when a group of boys pushed past him. "Rude," he scoffed.
"What room was I again?" He said to no one in particular. Ten pulled out his key card, reading the small numbers on the back. "Oh right, 103," he mumbled.
Ten picked the pace up, partly because of the plain beige walls and dark wood doors making him feel just a bit dizzy.
"100... 101... 102... and, 103," he said, stopping in front of his room.
"Here goes nothing," Ten inhaled, holding his breath before exhaling.
Ten swung the door open. "Hey—"
When Ten peered into the room. He froze. In the middle of the room was a tall male with dark brown hair. Normal for the most part, except for the fact that said male was doing push-ups on the floor, shirtless.
The roommate stared at Ten and Ten stared back, his mouth agape and eyes wide. Not a word exchanged before the latter stepped back out of the room and closed the door. The male let go of his breath after the awkward tension dissipated, resuming his work out.
On the other side of the door, Ten exhaled, his eyes wide. "What... What just happened?" He said to himself.
It's not everyday that you meet your roommate in the middle of a workout shirtless.
Ten sat down on the floor, his head in his hands. "It's fine... You just walked in on your roommate... Shirtless... And he was doing push-ups... And he kind of looked... Really, really good... That's fine, right?" He said, staring up at the wall.
"Yeah, I think so," a voice said, startling Ten out of his thoughts.
"Holy—! You scared me!" Ten said, clutching his heart. He got up and stared at the perpetrator, his eyes doubling in size.
He's almost as tall as the door... Ten thought.
"Hey," the male said.
Ten glanced down quickly. A shirt... Thank God, he mentally sighed.
"Hi, I'm—"
"Ten. You're my roommate," the taller said.
The shorter quirked an eyebrow. "Yeah... And you are?" He trailed off.
"Johnny," he said.
"That's it? No last name?" Ten asked.
"Seo," Johnny said.
Wow, he's talkative... Not.
Ten nodded. "So... What was up with the push-ups? Y' know, shirtless," he said.
"Just for fun," Johnny shrugged.
"Got something to prove?" Ten asked.
Johnny laughed and leaned against the door frame. "Nah, I just didn't want to slack off. I need to be ready for my team," he said.
"Your team?"
"Yeah, I'm the captain of N.C's football team," Johnny smiled. "You new here or something?" he asked.
"Yeah," Ten said, crossing his arms.
Great... A jock. And the captain too, Ten mentally groaned.
"You don't look too happy to hear I'm a part of the football team. What's up with that?" Johnny asked.
"Oh, y' know... Just thought that I would be rooming with someone with an IQ higher than two," Ten said.
"Ouch, you really got me, Shorty," Johnny snorted.
"Excuse me?" Ten glared at the taller.
"Sorry, what'd you say? I couldn't hear you from all the way up here," Johnny snickered.
Ten glared. "Watch it, Seo," he said.
"Ooh, now I'm scared," Johnny snorted. Ten rolled his eyes.
"What are you? Five?" The younger said.
"Out of five, yeah," Johnny said.
Ten stomped his foot down. "Listen here, asshole! If we're gonna get along you better—"
"Oh, hey Jaehyun! What's up?" Johnny walked past the shorter toward another teen Ten was already acquainted with.
"Excuse me?!" Ten huffed. He watched as Johnny and Jaehyun exchanged high fives amongst themselves, neither of the boys paid any heed toward Ten, left behind and fuming.
"Why are you talking to him?" Jaehyun sneered.
"Apparently he's my roommate this year," Johnny said.
"That fucking sucks. He's a total spaz," Jaehyun said. Johnny laughed and followed his friend down the hallway.
"Hey! I was talking to you!" Ten called. He didn't go after them, too lazy to really care but still irritated he was being ignored.
"Hey Jae, did you hear something?" Johnny asked loudly.
"Nah. It's nothing important, I'm sure," Jaehyun answered just as loud.
Ten rolled his eyes. "Immature pieces of shit!" He yelled.
"Whatever!" Johnny yelled.
Ten huffed when the males were out of sight. "I hate this..."
The teen looked at the staircase, where Johnny was previously, looked at his room, door wide open, and sighed.
"Fuck this," Ten groaned. He closed the door and walked down the stairs, his hands stuffed deep into his pockets.
