Chapter 1

The Offer

It was Monday today. I still had the same old routine as I graduated from college. I wake up, sat up from bed, push the curtains to the side, go to the bathroom and wash my face, head downstairs to prepare breakfast, eat, wash the dishes, head to my bedroom, head to my bathroom to take a bath, pick my clothes and head to some establishments for some job interviews. It was normal for me. In fact, it's been nine months since I've been hunting my dream job. However, all of them had declined. So, I'm still living in this same old routine.

"Sujin! Where are the onions?" my brother, Jin, shouted from downstairs as I just woke up.

"Wait a minute." I replied and did my routine before going downstairs. As I was finished, I head downstairs to meet my brother who was already..mad?

"So, does it take ten minutes for you to answer where the onions are?" He looked at me as his arms crossed in front of his chest.

I rolled my eyes and sighed, "Geez, just a bit. I fixed my routine since I graduated." I head over to the fridge and grabbed the onions as I slammed them onto the table. "Here, the onions you asked for." I said as I sat down on the couch in the living room.

"Sujin, isn't preparing breakfast part of your morning routine?" Even if my back faced him, I know he's smirking.

"Ugh, alright." I stood up from the couch and approached the kitchen to cook.

"So, where did mom and dad go this early?" I asked my brother while I chopped some onions

"Well, they told me that they had some meetings to attend to this early." he said as we continued cooking.

As soon as we finished preparing breakfast, the both of us head to the dining table. We ate together, as usual. Our parents have been away for almost always now since their company needs some improvement which is why it's always me and Jin who'd eat together.

"Are you still hunting a job?" he asked while you munched your food. You took a glass of water and drank it before you replied him

"Yeah, it's been a long while now." You told him while he nodded

"How about I'll act as a big brother and help you then?" he suddenly said as you almost choke on your food.

"W-what? Just n-now?" you coughed as he chuckled

"Since I'd be handling the company after mom and dad retires, one of our business partners has a son who's a bit..helpless though. This business partner is Mr. Jeon, he's been looking for a speech teacher so maybe this could be of help in your hu-" I cut him off

"Wait...are you kidding, Jin?" I couldn't believe his words, I've finally found a potential in becoming a teacher.

"I'm not kidding, 'lil sis. I'm serious. Maybe I can set an appointment today at four in the afternoon. How does that sound?" he says while glancing at his watch and then at me

I can imagine myself as an anime character, with her big eyes sparkling in awe as a miracle had just happened in her life.

"Yah...Seokjin..this is...GREAT!" I jumped so high as if I was hyper. I didn't mind if I'd feel sick after jumping. I approached my loving brother and gave him a tight hug.
