Chapter 6: To do list
“Oh my God dude! This is fucking mental, I mean come on seriously. Ethan can you believe this? You lucky bitch” Kenzi gushed, before smiling at my proudly and gentle punching me in shoulder.
I looked around the crowded corridors which we were currently walking down at an abnormal slow pace, before class. I had to admit I was starting to get along with everyone of the Bad arse’s … apart from Max, but he was warming up to me. It was no longer awkward with any of them and I liked the fact that I had some new friends.
I shrugged with a small smile, before frowning slightly “Actually … I don’t think I’m very lucky. My Pooface of a boyfriend cheated on me and made up a load of rumours that have got the whole school harassing me … So no. I’m not a lucky bitch”
Ethan scoffed “Puh-lease, you get to hang out with some of the hottest and most wanted guys in the school … apart from me of course” he shrugged, adding a joking wink at the end.
“Obviously” I said dryly with a roll of my eyes, making him chuckle.
Sometimes Ethan can be such a big headed girl. It kind of scares me how much I consider the fact that Kenzi will always be more masculine than Ethan.
“Seriously though babe, am I clever or what? I mean I thought of this kickass idea, which for once actually worked” Kenzi exclaimed loudly earning her the usual weird glances from students.
“I have got to hand it to you, for once I didn’t consider putting you in a mental home, after one of your so called ‘genius’ ideas” Ethan admitted teasingly, making me chuckle slightly.
Kenzi grinned, either not noticing his teasing or choosing to ignore it. She stopped dead in her tracks and yanked on my wrist hauling me to a stop with her.
She was grinning like a maniac as she exclaimed, throwing her arms up “Dude, I’m like a female Jerry Springer”
Me and Ethan exchanged a look before snigger loudly, making the grin fall off Kenzi’s face as she looked at us in outrage “Whatever, you know it’s true and you’re just jealous. Just wait I’ll ask Riley and he will agree with me” she said with a pout.
I bit my lip to contain my laughter she was one of these girls that had a very tough but none threatening exterior, so seeing her pout like that was like a tiger trying to be a kitten.
Suddenly what she said dawned on me “Riley? Has he finally decided to grace us with his presence?”
Ethan nodded, while Kenzi was still pouting but managing to glare at anyone who were staring at me or whispering, making them recoil instantly. Oh I do love my best friends.
I smiled slightly, I had to admit that I wasn’t feeling so glum and depressed today, but still I wasn’t the same girl who used to never stop smiling, apart from when she was angry or talking to my mum.
“Alright well, I’ll see you guys later. Apparently, I’m sitting with Nick and his friends at lunch, today” I informed them lowering my voice, so only they could hear me.
“See ya, Sweet Cheeks” Ethan called, waving over his shoulder.
“See ya later Dude” Kenzi muttered, to my amusement she was still pouting a little.
I walked through the door of my English classroom, which was my third favourite lesson after PE and art. I let my eyes scan the classroom to see most people whispering, staring, sneering or pointing at me.
But finally my eyes landed on a sexy smirking Nick, who was at the back of the classroom, his legs propped up on the desk as he briefly waved me over to him. I smiled timidly at him and kept my head down as I made my way to the back.
