Chapter 9.
Riding on a motorcycle with the school bad boy. You would think I’m the girl who hides behind the books. Or the girl who wears what looks like underwear to school. I’m none of those things. I’m the IT girl. I know, how cliché can I get. People watching would think we were super cool. Though all I can think about is how nice he is, he snuck out to keep me safe. The feeling of holding him, my head on his shoulder and arms around his waist. The wind blowing my light brown hair all around, the tears stinging my chocolate brown eyes, making it hard to see. Though I could see him perfectly.
I could hear the end of ‘Cooler than Me’ as we pulled up to the street. Cars were everywhere. As we neared the house, i started to notice the the grass was red, with plastic cups. Eric cut the engine off, and held my hands. I looked around seeing a few people staring. I slowly got off the bike and began to walk toward the front door, when I turn to see if Eric was following me, I saw he was still on his bike.
“What are you doing? Come on in.” I say walking back to the bike. Eric just crossed his arms and looked at me with a blank look. “Oh come on, please for me?” Again nothing.
“Fine. I’ll have to ask someone to take me home, got to be one person who won’t be that drunk.” I begin to walk up into the house and see people everywhere, on the stairs, in the kitchen, out in the backyard, and squished together in the living room dancing. I look out the window to see Eric’s bike was gone. I let out a sigh and go to search for my friends.
“Hey! Thanks for coming sis!” I hear Mely squeal as I pass her. I give her a hug and continue walking. I see Anna and Tori talking, I begin to walk towards them when a figure gets in my way.
“Told you I’d look good for you.” says a drunk Jake, smiling down out me, arms out. I’m not sure if he was telling me to check him out or wanted a hug. So I just smiled and laughed then began to walk off, when he grabbed my wrist. He pulled me back and starting to try dancing with me. I felt very uncomfortable with this, which is a first for me. I would go partying and dance with guys all the time. Why was I not liking it this time? When Jake but his hands on my waist it didn’t feel right, like something was different. I wiggled out of his arms and heading back to where my friends were. After a lifetime of pushing and wiggling through all the people I finally make it to Tori. I give a small smile to Anna and say hi. Cheery. Thats what Anna is all the time. I guess that’s why her and Tori are so close. So hyper and random. After talking for awhile Anna excuses herself.
“So I saw you dancing with Jake. You are going to kill that boy, dancing and leaving. Tsk Tsk.” Tori says, sipping from a red cup. I’ve seen to many of those tonight.
“The guy literally pulled me into it. Oh! Guess how I got here.” I say jumping up onto the table. Tori leans next to me, watching the crowd move all together but at so many different paces.
“An elephant.” she says turning her head to look at me and then nod to a cute boy drinking for another red cup.
“I’ll give him a. . .” I’m about to rate the boy when he burps so loud that I can hear him on the other side of the room. . . with super loud music.
“EW 3. And no I got a ride from Eric.” the second his name come out of my mouth Tori’s head turns to look at me so fast, I caught the whiplash.
“No way! On his bike. . . but I didn’t know anything about him being invited. I check the rumors no one said anything about him coming. No one even knows where he lives. If I did. . . I’d be there all night, trust me darling i would! Wait! Does that mean he is here! Like in the same house!! I HAVE to find him.” Tori speed talks to much my head was starting to spin, and with her little slur it made it a bit harder to understand.
