Mkay so now this book is hilarious to me! Cause I meet this guy whose name is Erick with a K but still looks - or is- nothing like the character in my book. so it’s so funny cause he read it and was all like, ‘yeah its about me’ im like i wrote this before i knew you, and please you are nothing like Eric, EricK. so yeah! its sorta weird but whatever. He’s not my problem :)
“No, you need to make a curve not a straight line. No, a curve not a circle.” I say with a giggle. The aggravated sigh next to me shows he really is trying, but still failing miserably. We’ve been trying to draw something for the past hour, from a rabbit to a house, to a mockingjay to a fish. But nothing has seemed to work out.
“Can’t I draw something else. Anything else. I’ll draw a heart even!” Eric says though his pencil on the table and leaning back. Mrs. Jackson had us teach the science student to draw a simple object, which isn’t going to well. I let my thought of trying to find something for him to draw to the memory of him first entering the class.
“Hey what’s up?” I say with a smile as he sets his bag down. He grabs the chair and pulls it away from me.
“Nothing.” he says in that same monotone voice he used the other day.
“So got any ideas on what you want to do? I can show you how to paint -”
“Whatever works for you” he cuts me off.
“Umm ok. Lets draw, anything in particular? Dragon, bow & arrows, a tree, a comet-” I say, again I get cut off.
“Whatever is the quickest easiest thing.” He says getting his pencil and some paper.
“Earth to Hanna!” a hear a voice call to me.
“Huh? What did you say?” I say looking over to Eric, who has an amused look on his face.
“I said, are you sure there isn’t anything else to try?”
“Oh, umm I don’t know haven’t you seen any of your friends draw?” I say thinking of one last thing. I hope he goes for it.
“I’ve seen my brother, Connor, draw but not really my thing.” he says with a little flashback moment happening in his eyes. I didn’t even know he had a brother. I wonder what he is like?
“Ok. Well this is the last thing I can teach you, but it’s pretty girly.” I warn him. I do my best to keep one eyebrow up without smiling.
“How girly?” Eric says as he slowly leans back and pretend to look scared.
“A rose.” I say simply
“A rose?” he says confused. “Sure why not. Wait. Is it a beauty and the beast type of rose, or Ed Hardy rose?”
I burst into giggles interrupting the entire class in their own little worlds. “The fact you know what a Beauty and the Beast rose makes this all worth the while.” I slowly stop laughing and continue, “ It’s an Ed Hardy rose. Want to try it out?” All he does is nod, so I begin to show him how to draw it.
(A/N: The rose in my profile picture is the rose they draw, but you know, not as girly XD)
“WOW! This actually looks like a rose.” Eric says completely impressed by his own rose.
“Mmhmm that’s how awesome I am.” I say smirking, the bell rings and the science students rush to the door, eager to get away from Mrs. Jackson’s ‘farewell to the peacefulness of art’ hug.
“So, I uh guess I’ll see you later.” Eric says once we have both our things packed.
“Guess so.” I say as Eric nods goodbye and turns to leave. I see him catch up with the same guys from the tree. I turn to leave and crash right into something - well someone- and fall to the ground, our stuff going all over the place.
