Saavi's P.O.V

"If you insist, I'll go." I give a faint smile to Jayant but, little do others know that my mind is doing a victory dance inside.

"Thank you so much Saavi. I promise I won't let you down ever. See you tomorrow. I will be there, at your place to pick you up, sharp at six." He beams a bright smile at me.

"Okay, I will be waiting." I turn around with my friends and start moving towards the cafeteria.

Trust me, I must've been born to compensate the loss of twenty smart asses who left this world. Nope, I am not bragging, just stating the fact.

This girl, who is equivalent to twenty smart people, or maybe even more, is recognized as Saavi Luthra; the only daughter of the CEO of Luthra enterprises.

Awesome way of introduction, No? Told ya! I am a smart ass.

I am a twenty-one year old, third year student of Delhi Technological University, DTU, pursuing Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.

A girl, in Mechanical Engineering- rare view, I know. But, I guess that defines me- always doing the unexpected.

I dropped a year after my twelfth to prepare for JEE Mains after scoring thirty-four percentile in the first attempt. Everyone was so ignorant with my decision but, that didn't stop me and the very next year, I qualified the entrance test with flying colours and got admission in one of the best engineering colleges. Told you, I do the unexpected.

"I still can't believe! Jayant Khanna, as in THE Jayant Khanna asked my best friend out! Oh my God!" Piya, my best friend squeals. I met Piya in sixth standard, and since then we have been inseparable. Its not less than anything but our luck that we ended up in the same college even though the subjects are different. She is pursuing her B.Tech in Aeronautical Engineering.

"What makes it unbelievable?" I raise an eyebrow urging her to answer.

"Nah, you got me wrong. I mean, I can't believe he likes you too!" She squeals again but, this time, at the end.

"Wait, wait, wait. What do you mean by 'he likes you too'?" I stop dead in my tracks.

"Come on! We know you were crushing on him from the day you saw him playing guitar during fresher's party."

"What? No! Who said that to you?"

Oh come on Saavi. You need not to lie to your best friends. You are actually crushing on Jayant since then.
