"By the way, you have got a kick ass real story with lots of moral values to narrate to your children in future."

Saavi's P.O.V.

"I am home Ma," I yell as I enter my home. Piya dropped me back at my place since we all pooled her car. What's the point of travelling in separate cars and waste the fuel when you can pool.

"Welcome back darling." She kisses me on my cheek.

"How was your day? Or shall I say 'date'? Huh?" She teases me.

"Mom!"

Have some bonding time. Come on.

"Bring a bowl of popcorns. Till, then I'll just get freshen up and then will narrate you everything. I'll be waiting ma!" I tell her with excitement and sprint towards my room.

Today's day has to be the best day!

I agree. Jayant did surprise you with his gift. You were not expecting him to gift you the novel you wanted to read so badly for so long. He really likes you to know your interests.

I can't agree any less.

I guess your today's curse has now converted into a blessing.

So true! I mean everything went so well. We've a new friend, my misconception about my mom got solved, Jayant and I finally got some time together and...

...and you got rid of your habit to lie.

True. Today I actually understood the real meaning behind the phrase 'honesty is the best policy'.

Even though we don't know what actually made you do what did the whole day today but, it did a lot good to you.

I can't agree any less.

"Can come in?" My mom asks standing at the door.

"Of course Ma. You don't have to ask. Come in I'll quickly change."

After freshening up, I sit on my bed and start narrating everything to my mom.

They say mothers are the first friend a girl gets. I was never a believer of this phrase but, from today, my respect for the person whosoever said this has reached to an another level. I can't even imagine how I neglected my very first friend for twenty-one years of my life. But, now I am going to compensate the loss with interest and I am very determined about this.

Bright rays of sun peeping through the curtains of the windows of my room force me to wake up. I groan in frustration but, all of it faded away as my phone chirps indicating a text notification.
