The Queen and her

Chapter 7

Pipers POV:

the past few days were tiresome. I spent every meal with Alex, but other than that she was busy and had other matters to attend to. I explored the palace and became friends with maids and servants, but I still felt.. bored.

I wanted to do something that would have meaning, not remain in the palace all the time. I've decided to ask Alex to let me start gardening outside, but it would be a few hours till I see her again for supper, and this left me with hours to spend alone.

I walked out of the palace, wearing a yellow knitted turtle neck jumper, and a black leather skirt, with black tights. I started aimlessly walking around, taking in the sites of the palace grounds. I eventually came to a river, but the river was.. golden. I swirled some water with my finger, and it didn't turn my fingers gold. This place was... crazy.

"Fancy a swim?" Trisha asked me

I've learned the names of Alex's officials, and these past few days I've spent reading about the laws, history and government of our kingdom. I've also been reading about other kingdoms too, hoping I could be a use to Alex.

I smiled "not really" "why's the river gold?" I asked

"I don't know really, some things are weird here" she smiled.

"Hey... wanna play around? Let's play tag. You should not be here anyways, and I need to exercise." She shifted into a wolf form, and started bounding away, I ran after her.

Her tongue was out, and she was obviously loving the run. I adored running myself, I used to do it all the time, but I wasn't sure where I could run. Her white sandy fur was soon far in the distance, but I kept running. I somehow found myself in a forest, and kept running anyways, enjoying this exercise.

Until something came out and hit me. I tripped and fell into a tree. "Ahh! Ouch. Shit."

I saw bright yellow eyes start crawling towards me. I started screaming for help, but I doubt anyone would be able to hear me. It was a black panther. It was so close to me, showed me its teeth and I knew it was all over. Until it licked me. I tried pushing it away.

"Eww, what the hell?!"
And suddenly the panther turned into Trisha, who was rolling on the floor with laughter.
I joined in with her laughter, and we started walking back to the palace, chatting.

I didn't realise how far out I was from the palace, we ended up walking for a couple of hours. Finally, the gardens and rose bushes were in sight, the sun had just come down and I was about to turn to Trisha to ask her a question when someone stormed up to us.

"WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?" The raven haired beauty shouted to me. I've never seen her angry at me before, and I took a couple of steps back.

"Alex.. I'm sorry"

"Do you know how worried I've been? You're a hour late to our supper. I thought you were in trouble, I sent out a search party. Where the fuck did you go?"

"Alex I just went on a walk to this awesome golden river and I saw Trisha and we just talked but I'm back here now and nothing happened to me."

Alex glared at Trisha "call the search off, did she go further than the river?"

"No.. I stopped her.. sorry Vause.." Alex sighed.

"Thank you, go please Trisha."

Trisha walked off, looking like a dog with their tail between their legs.

Alex pulled me into a hug, I hugged her back.

"Don't go that far again please, and tell someone where you're going. Don't worry me like that again."
