🌸 Chapter Four - Memories 🌸

Anyhoo... I finally started my journey to school after a really stressful morning. There was no point of me checking my watch anymore because I'm already as late as I am, so basically I'm doomed. My perfect attendance is going to be ruined because of the one, the only, Jeon Jungkook. Great, just great.

I should stop ranting about my problems, for once. Well, as I was walking through the park to get to my school, I passed the playground that me and Jungkook used to play in , when we were little....

"JUNGKOOK!!! SLOW DOWN!!! WAIT FOR ME!!!" I screamed as I ran after him.

Our mum decided that me and Jungkook should go to the park because it was boiling outside and she didn't like to see us cooped up inside.

So, me and Jungkook walked to the park that was quite close to our house. When we reached the gate of the park, Jungkook had an idea.

"Hey Y/N, I'll race you to the swings!"

And now we are back on track, me screaming after Jungkook, who was obviously faster than me.

I ran as fast as my little legs could carry me but when I reached the swings, Jungkook was already swinging on them.

"What took you so long, Y/N?" Jungkook said with a smirk.

"Hey! It's not my fault you inherited all the good genes, you hogger!" I replied.

"Well you can't go wrong with facts," his smirk grew bigger.

We started to swing on the swings.

"Y/N, do you want to see who can go the highest?" Jungkook asked.

"Sure, why not."

Jungkook started to speed up on the swings, while I was struggling with my little legs. Jungkook, weirdly, has longer legs than me, even though we are twins and we're 8 years old here.

"Haha, I'm going faster," Jungkook sang in that annoying tone.

I eventually gave up and stopped swinging and watched Jungkook swing. While I was watching him swing, I heard a faint whining sound coming from the bushes. I grew curious but I knew I was too much of a scaredy cat to go look behind the bushes myself. What if there was a terrifying monster behind? Or a big hairy rat? No thank you! So I decided to ask Jungkook to come and look with me.

"Mmmm... Jungkook, can you stop swinging for a sec?" I asked nicely.

"Why? Am I too fast for your small eyes?" Jungkook smirked.

You have no idea how much I hate that smirk.

"Well for your information, one, I don't have small eyes so I request you should go get yours checked, and two, I heard some noises coming from the bush so I'd appreciate if you could listen to your sister for once and come check the bushes with me."

"Wow... you didn't need to get your tongue in a knot. You could've just asked nicely." He says while jumping off the swing.

"Come on then!" Jungkook indicates his hand for me to come to him.

I get off the swing and grab Jungkook's hand. We head towards the bushes. The whining becomes a little bit louder. Jungkook looks at me and I look at him. He nods his head to the bushes, meaning for me to look behind them. I shake my head vigorously and also nod my head to the bushes. I mean why would I ask you to come if I'm going to have to check myself. Jungkook sighs and slowly moves his hand towards the bushes, but he suddenly stops.
