Nightmares

*1am*

Remind rolled over to see Sirius coated in a layer of sweat as his eyes flickered uneasily behind his eyelids "No," he moaned "please." Sirius flinched then started crying. "Sirius , wake up," Remus shook him slightly. No response . He slapped him. Sirius woke up gasping for air. "It's okay, I've got you." Remus murmured while stroking his hair, they stayed like that for a long time until Sirius had stopped shaking. "You wanna talk about it Siri?"

" I'm fine. "

"Are you sure?"

" Yep. "As though to prove his point Sirius shut his eyes but Remus could tell he was faking, but being the good boyfriend he was Remus pretended to believe him.

*Next morning*

Remus gently shook Sirius awake. "Morning lazy bones."

 Sirius groaned and rolled over. "Oi! Get your fat ass out of bed!" James shouted. 

" Noooo! " 

"Do you want me to cut your hair off?" 

" I'm up! " Sirius sprang out of bed.

" How are you? " Remus asked quietly.

" I'm good on this fine morning, " Sirius announced.

" You don't have to pretend. "

Sirius rolled his eyes. "You worry too much old boy."

" Sometimes I wonder if I worry enough. " Remus looked pointedly at his stomach because despite it being covered with a top, they both knew there was a long silvery scar that Sirius refused to talk about. 

Once they were dressed, the boys went to get breakfast. Sirius was talking animatedly to James and Remus tapped him on the shoulder. Sirius nearly jumped out of his skin. "Geez moony, don't scare me like that."

" Please talk to me. "

" About what? "

" You know what. "

" Look of this is about the homework I copied then I'm sorry. "

"You know very well that isn't what I'm on about, and what homework?"

"Nothing!" Sirius said running out the hall before Remus could interrogate him further.
