You and I (Diego x Reader)

"Diego, what's going on? Just calm down and talk to me love." You plead with the now pacing man. Diego shakes his head no. You sigh and waste no time closing the gap between you two. "Okay. We don't have to talk about it right now." You wrap your arms around him,laying your head on his chest. Listening to his heartbeat was one of your favorite things to do.

Suddenly, he pushes your face upward with his free hand and crashes his lips onto yours. The kiss was desperate. You could tell just how much he loves you within that kiss. You guys break apart.

Resting his forehead on yours, he whispers "My brother just told me that the world is ending. The academy is going to try and stop it but-but he saw us... M-my..." he pauses a second and takes a breath.

"Its okay baby. Take your time."

"My siblings and I we're trying to stop it.. but five saw us, we had died, a-and I'll be damned if I take you down with me."

Tears sprung to your eyes. "What are you saying?" You choke bag a sob. "That we are going to die?"

"Hey now, none of that crying stuff. Okay, doll? I am going to do everything in my power to stop this, and you and I are going to be just fine, you hear me?" You lay your head back on his chest, and cling onto him for dear life.
