I gripped their hand tighter, they looked at me and gave me a reassuring smile. I was happy that I'd finally meet their family, but I can't deny either that I'm extremely nervous as well. Sure I've met their older brother on school, but we never really interacted that much.
"Mom, did is my girlfriend", they spoke, gesturing at me.
The dark haired brown woman looked at our intertwined hands, she smiled at me. "It's nice to finally meet you dear", she went for a hug, making me release Y/N's hand. "Y/N has told me all about you", she finally released me.
I shyly chuckled, "Oh, he did?", I mumbled.
"Yeah, they won't stop talking about you. It took me a long time to convince them to confess to yo but they're such a chicken", their older brother joked.
Y/N scoffed, but it was obvious they're blushing, "I'm not", they argued.
"Okay quit arguing you two, show some respect to your younger brother's visitor", Y/N's mom scolded the older brother.
Y/N furrowed their eyebrows, "Um, where's dad?", they looked around.
"He should be here any moment now", their mom answered. "Come, take a seat", she offered. A few moments later the door then opened, I looked back and saw a man went through the large doors.
He glanced at me, "Oh, I see we have a visitor!", he exclaimed and smiled at me. "I'm assuming you're friends with Y/N here?", he glanced at his youngest child.
"More than friends actually", Y/N's older brother clarified.
His eyes widened and looked back and forth to the both of us, "Dad, this is my girlfriend", Y/N introduced me to him.
Y/N's dad pressed his lips into a thin line but a smile already spread on his face. "You must be Jinsoul?", he asked. "Y/N might have mentioned you a lot to us through the years, I'm glad that they finally mustered up the courage to ask a girl out", he joked.
"Actually, Jinsoul was the one who asked them out", Y/N's older brother mumbled.
A house elf then came to us, "Mrs. Im, dinner is ready", he spoke in a low tone.
"Alright, Jinsoul, why don't you join dinner with us?", their dad offered.
I slightly bowed and smiled, "I would love too", I replied. They already excused themselves, leaving me and Y/N to trail along.
"See, I told you they'll love you", they smiled at me, kissing me on the cheek.
