CHAPTER THREE:"you're a terrible bowler." stiles said as they walked down the stairs.
"i know! i'm such an idiot." scott said.
"god, it was like watching a car wreck. i mean, first it turned into the whole group date thing. and then out of nowhere comes that phrase." stiles said.
"hang out." scott said making stiles run his hands over his buzz cut.
"you don't hang out with hot girls, okay? it's like death. once it's hanging out, you might as well be her gay best friend. you and danny can start hanging out." stiles said.
"how is this happening? i either killed a guy or i didn't." scott said.
"i don't think danny likes me very much." stiles said.
"i ask allison on a date and now we're hanging out." scott said.
"am i not attractive to gay guys?" stiles asked.
"i make first line, and the team captain wants to destroy me. and now-now i'm gonna be late for work." scott said.
"wait, scott, you didn't- am i attractive to gay guy- you didn't answer my question." stiles said.
stiles heard a chuckle which made him turn around to see marcie.
"i didn't know you were into danny." marcie said making stiles' eye grow wide.
"i'm not, uh, i-i like girls actually, well, a girl. you know, singular." stiles said feeling his cheeks heat up.
"i'm just messing with you, stiles." marcie told him as he chuckled.
"right, i knew that." stiles replied which made her chuckle.
"look, i know this is last minute but would you mind giving me a ride home?" marcie asked him as he nodded.
-
on the way home, stiles couldn't help but take his eyes off the road for a moment and look at the blonde girl.
he had no idea why she would ask him for a ride home but he knew it must have something to do with tristan and zoe not talking to her.
"so, i'm gonna assume zoe and tristan still haven't talked to you?" stiles said making marcie sigh.
"uh, i did talk to them, actually." marcie replied looking down at her fingers, picking at her nails.
"oh, that's great. you guys made up?" stiles asked with a smile but it quickly faded once he saw the sad look on marcie's face.
"no, uh, tristan told me that him and zoe started hooking up and that me and him were over." marcie said before wiping a tear from her face.
