CHAPTER TWO:

marcie got a ride to school with her brother and she saw zoe walking through the parking lot.

"zoe!" marcie shouted making her best friend turn around.

"hey, mar." zoe said turning away as marcie caught her to her.

"why have you and tristan been avoiding me for the past two days?" marcie asked as zoe shrugged.

"i'm started to feel like there's something going on." marcie replied making zoe sigh.

zoe stopped walking which also made marcie stop. the two girls looked at each other while marcie waited to hear what zoe had to say.

"look, i think that you and tristan should talk." zoe said walking away before marcie could say anything else.

marcie had no idea what was going on with them, but she pulled out her phone and texted tristan.

she looked up from her phone and saw the man himself getting out of his car.

"hey." marcie said walking up to her boyfriend.

"uh, hey." tristan replied avoiding eye contact with her.

"i've been texting you. zoe told me i need to talk to you?" marcie questioned.

"look, mar. there's no easy way to say this. zoe and i are hooking up. so, me and you have to be over now." tristan said taking marcie by surprise.

"wow, you're a real jerk." marcie said slapping him before rushing away in tears.

marcie locked herself in the bathroom and she started to cry.

"marcie?" she heard a voice say making her crying stop and she wiped her tears.

"uh, one sec." marcie said before walking out of the stall to see lydia martin.

"i heard what happened, i thought you might need a friend." lydia said which made marcie smile.

"i can't believe it." marcie said before lydia pulled her into a hug.
