Chapter 4 - The Beating Waves

<That night...In Moon's Bedroom...>

After being excused from her duties, Moon entered her room and quietly shut the door behind her, making a light 'click' sound.

Moon: "Finally..."

Moon loved the night as it the time of the day where she could be free like a bird out of its cage. She could breathe at last.

Moon: "Huh..."

Moon raised her hand in front of her face. She suddenly recalled the incident that happened today...

Aiden: It's nice to see you again, my princess...

Aiden's words kept on repeating in Moon's mind continuously as she could feel her cheeks heating up.

Moon: "Stop it, Moon! Stop thinking about him!"

Moon used both of her hand and she softly slap her face twice, telling herself to snap out of her thoughts.

She pressed her whole body against the door as she rested her hand on her beating heart.

Moon: Why can't I get him off my mind?!Urg...What do I do now?...

Moon then glanced over at her desk, with her clock on it. She walked over to it and picked it up.

Moon: "It's 11.59..."

Moon remembered the promise she made with that Orion Merman to met up right at Midnight.

Before she knew it, the clock's handle strike 12. It rang, telling her indirectly to hurry up and leave.

Moon: "I guess I will have to go."

With no time to lose, Moon quickly slipped into the same short white dress and slippers. She dashed to the window and pushed it opened.

Similar to what she did previously, she held onto the ropes and abseil her way down to the ground...

<At the beach...>

The princess was there yet again, the place where she was forbidden to visit. As Moon stepped on the rough sand, she could feel the small particles entering her slippers which was quite uncomfortable.

However, she didn't cared one bit. Her overwhelming happiness was fighting against the pain.

The calming seas, the sight of the glistening moon and stars up in the sky...she missed it all.

Moon: "Hmm...where is he?"

Moon looked around but she could not spot Orion anywhere.

Moon: "Maybe he's late...oh well."

She spotted some seashells washed against the store and kneeled down to collect them.

???: "Having fun?"

Moon unexpectedly felt a hand on her shoulder and whirled around in surprise. All of a sudden, she lost her footing and was about to hit the sand...

Orion: "*Grabs* Hey, be careful!"

Orion grabbed her arm before she fell over.
