Aiden: "May I have this dance?"

Ballroom dancing. It is the type of dance Moon had learned since she was little. Moon could remember the times she kept making so many mistakes in front of her dance tutor and the times her tutor got irritated at her.

She did not like waltzing, but she still had to learn for her own royal sake. Moon rather be free and adventurous, not so much like those 'obedient' princesses if you know what I mean.

Moon: "Yes, you may..."

The moment Moon touched Aiden's hand. Her heart started thumping like crazy. His other hand held her waist while her other hand rested on his shoulder.

Travis signalled the musicians and the music began to play.

Moon: "I am terrible at dancing so if I step on your shoes, I'm really sorry."

Aiden: "Don't worry, princess. I'll lead."

Aiden said as both of them started gliding across the dance floor. All eyes were on them and the crowd watched in silence.

Aiden: "Are you still nervous?"

Moon: "N-No I'm not! I'm fine!"

Aiden: "You know you can't fool me right? I can see the nervousness written all over your face."

Moon smiled and let out a short laugh.

Moon: "I'm not an expert at dancing. I exceptionally don't favour being the centre of attention."

Aiden: "Well, you're not alone. Besides, you haven't made any mistakes yet. I believe you have danced with other men before, right?"

Moon: "Err..."

Now that Aiden mentioned it, Moon realised that this was the first time she was dancing with a partner.

During her previous balls, Moon had encountered a few princes whom came up to her to try their luck for a dance. But unfortunately, they ended up getting rejected...

Moon: "Haha...actually this is my first time..."

Aiden was shocked.

Aiden: "How is that possible for a princess who dances beautifully to have never done it before?"

Those words made Moon blushed. Aiden took her hand and spun her around. She knew he was just teasing her.

She then asked with a cunning look on her face.

Moon: "What about you? I bet there were multiple princesses who have danced with you before."

He chuckled with amusement.

Aiden: "I can agree that this isn't my first time but..."

Suddenly, Aiden lend in closer to Moon.

Aiden: "I feel more comfortable dancing with you."

His words caught her off guard. Moon could feel the adrenaline of her blood rushing up to her cheeks.

All of a sudden, one of her heels tripped on the other which caused her to fall backwards.
