Part 3 Dangerous Encounter

The group has woken up and are now back on the trail towards Haven Academy.

Nora: Another day, another adventure!

Pyrrha: What's on the agenda today?

Jaune: Walking!

Nora: With a side of...?

Ren: Walking

Ruby: *sighs* Haven is a lot farther away than I thought

Ren: Ruby...How long did you think this journey was going to take?

She gets a bit agitated when Ren asked this question.

Ruby: I don't know! I grew up in a small area; I've never been this far from home

Pyrrha: Right but...how long?

Ruby: Maybe like, uh...Two weeks?

Jaune: What?!

Ruby: Okay fine, three or something! Look whatever

And just like that, she drops the issue and just continues on while holding onto the locket.

Pyrrha: What's that?

Looking forward to a village that wasn't on the map.

Jaune: That's strange...I didn't think we'd be hitting another village for a few days

Nora: Are those buildings...damaged?

Jaune: We should search for survivors!

The group then runs towards the village in hopes that everything was okay, upon arriving and closer inspection the town looked more like it was under construction or unfinished.

Ruby: Anything?

Nora: Nothing over here!

Pyrrha: No one over here either!

Ren: It almost seems like the town was abandoned

The group continued to look around.

Nora: Hey, I think I found something!

Everyone rushes over towards Nora, who was inspecting a sign.

Nora: Oniyuri? Never heard of it...

Jaune: Me neither

Ren: I have

They all turn their attention towards Ren as he explains what he knows of the town.

Ren: You might think of it as Anima's Mountain Glenn, had it never been completed, Years ago, the richest members of Mistral were unhappy with how the kingdom was being run, Frustrated with the council, they pooled their resources to build their own city...With their own laws, They hoped that one day, it could maybe even become its own kingdom, Many thought it would be the future...I know my parents did

He begins to walk away from the group.

Ruby: What happened?

Ren: What always happens

Pyrrha: The Grimm...

Ren: Not just anyone

They could tell that Ren was getting visibly angry, the rest looked at each other before responding.

Ruby: One?

Jaune: Come one, let's get through here, this place gives me the creeps

They begin to walk out of the village, Ruby giving it one last glace before leaving, she held onto the locket tight now, she had a bad feeling. As the group begins nearing the exit Ren holds out his hand signaling everyone to stop. That feeling Ruby had was getting stronger, everyone now reaches for their weapons and gets ready for battle, then coming out of nowhere a man wearing a brown cloak jumps through the sky and lands in front of them, without warning he readies these arm blades he has and comes running in towards Ruby, he's intercepted by Ren who punches him away and then shots him with his pistols, the attacks don't seem to faze the man as he quickly retaliates with a strong slash and kick sending Ren back, he then begins running towards Ruby once more, he strikes her with his blades but she blocks the attack with her weapon only to be sent back thanks to a kick from the guy, once she lands he instantly goes in for more attacks, with no time to react Ruby receives a strong slash through her chest, thankfully her aura protected her, she's sent back and now he focuses his attention on Jaune and Pyrrha, he hops onto Jaune's shield and gives him a creepy glare, Pyrrha tries to go for a strike but the ma kicks Jaune back into her sending the teo back, Nora tries to use this opportunity to try to hit him but he uses this to send himself back into a building destroying it.
