I whispered to Valery while she was sleeping.

-You are a way too good for me, so was Lindsey.- I paused and looked at my backpack where I hide a gun for security. When you are traveling to different places everyday you dunno what can happen.

 –My life is basically pointless; I defrauded my parents and got away from them when they divorced. And right now I'm making my way of living with a robber girl whom I'm mad in love with and doesn't really cares about me.- I took a big sighed and stared at the gun.

I took the gun and put it in my mouth without thinking, ready to pull the trigger.

Valery gasped as she claimed somebody's name.- Leonard!-

She obviously had a lover, she didn't want me and I was startled until I spoke.

-It's okay you have a lover. I'm not worth it anyway.- I was going to do something really wrong.

Kill myself.

This is not the first time this happens, the difference is that on the past suddenly Lindsey came and rescued me from myself, but Valery is asleep, Valery only minds her own business, and I find myself only thinking about her. I was supposed to pull it by now but something in my mind screamed dramatically

She started crying, gave a jump and hugged me rapidly.

-What happened Lin?! Your hair, your eyes your—I found myself interrupted again.

-My everything.- she cried in my chest. –You really don't know what happened.- She forced herself to stop crying and looked me in the eyes with a fake smile.

I tried myself to change the subject, but my mind was thoughtless.

-Umm.. I saw you on the news.. I couldn't believe it was you and thought it was someone else..- I was panicked. I couldn't say a thing. I spoke so low that she could barely hear me.

-I.. I.. I lost my sight- she shivered in fear –and... I didn't know I were on the news from what happened in palm springs.-

-huh?-

-Well, yeah... I was dancing and almost fought some bitch at the club and got kicked out.- I gazed her feet without any shoe

-Your shoes...?-

-I lost them-

-But I didn't wanted to respond me that, what happened with your eyes, with you hair, with you!-

-After I broke up with you and went to Memphis, I realized that I needed you.- My eyes got bigger in astonishment as she kept talking.

-My eyes got glaucoma for depression and I had a surgery, my eyes got brown.  So I was trying to find anyway to go back to Houston but there wasn't. After that my mom was devastated because my father left her for another woman and married with her. She didn't want me to leave. I ran away and got back to Houston.... But you weren't there.- She took a deep breath and proceeded- I didn't have a house or money, so I started to pole dance.-

-Tch! I'm low in gas.- announced Valery hitting madly the handwheel. There was almost a snowstorm in the darkness of the city. I chatted a way to long with Lindsey about all the things that happened to her, and some little thing that happened to me. I didn't wanted to tell her the truth.

–But last night, you said you ended up in Palm Springs dancing on tables. Almost fought some bitch at the club; got kicked out of your hotel and lost your shoes.- I chuckled - Well, fuck, what am I supposed to be, impressed?- I gave her the look I did when we were together, the one any woman want to be looked, like when a blind man sees the sun for the first time. She blushed a bit and looked me in that way back, we were close, she took an inspection to my lips as I did the same with hers, with an inch of separation.

-You're just another set of bones to lay to rest.- Valery howled behind me.

-When did you get?—

-Long enough. Is that Lindsey? She doesn't look like you described her, she is.....  odd.-

Lindsey looked at her both questioning and surprised. Valery glanced at her with repugnance and established

-I don't know who you are, but last night—

I cut her out because she wasn't going to say any attribute. -I guess it's time to say goodnight.- I got up, mad at Valery and walked away, but before that... I glimpsed at Lindsey and declare with an intense smile and watery eyes. -Hope you had a really good time.-
