Yedam

I'm currently sitting at my desk reading a book i borrowed from the library. This is just like every other day, i'm pretty quiet but i do have some friends even though i'm not much of a talker, they approached me first and they're really nice.

*bell rings*

"Finally lunch time! Let's go to the cafeteria quick, Lily, Y/N!" Yuna's eyes lit up as she said this.

"All you think is food really" Lily sighed.

"I won't eat" i said, blanked face and stood up.

"Oh? then where are you going?" Yuna asked with her head tilted a bit.

I just walked towards the door and stopped to raise the book. They already understand what i meant because this wasn't the first time i skipped lunch. It's not that i don't like food, i have some snacks on my bag, i just felt like i needed some fresh air to soothe myself.

I walked to the library and returned the book. I walked towards the place where i mostly hang, the music room. I sometimes play the piano when i go there but when i was near the door i heard someone singing while playing the piano.

"What a nice voice" i thought and went inside quietly and sat on a chair to listen more of the music and closed my eyes.

I don't wanna miss out on the holiday, but i can't stop starin' at your face

Suddenly it stopped and i opened my eyes to see a guy standing in front of me, i raised my head and saw him smiling at me.

"Hi there, i see that you were listening to me so i kinda approached" He said scratching his nape.

"You have such a nice voice" i said to him, still expressionless.

"Oh thanks, my name's Yedam by the way" he reached out his hand to me.

"Y/N" i responded and eventually shook his hand.

I stood up to go back to the classroom and he just waved at me still smiling.

"How is he smiling so brightly like that?" i thought.

It's been a long time since i smiled like that. Ever since our family had encountered so many problems lately i haven't smiled one bit and remained expressionless.

-the next day-

I actually ate lunch this time and i finished it quick i didn't even realized it. Knowing i had a lot of time left i went to the music room again. I opened the door and went to the piano, i haven't sang in a while too so i pressed my fingers to the keys and started singing.

I stopped when i saw a guy sat beside me and it was Yedam.

"I knew you'd come back, and definitely...sang what i sang yesterday" Yedam smiled at me and I didn't know i was really singing that song just now, it must've been stuck in my mind since i was feeling his voice yesterday.

"You also have a great voice!" he praised at me and smiling brightly.

"How are you...smiling like that?" i stared at him.

"Of course i'm happy when there's music" he's still smiling.

"How about playing it together?" he added, i just nodded.

We started playing the piano and sang together, i...had fun just now. After a while we finished the song.

"You really have a great voice, you should sing more often" after hearing what he said maybe i should try and sing again.

"Also smiling suits you well" he added, my eyes widened at his words, did i really smiled just now?

"Thank you, Yedam" i started smiling at him. I never knew this day would really come, smiling and singing again.

After that day we started hanging out and it's already been 3 months since then. We also developed some feelings for each other and started dating, i was glad that i let go of my expressionless self and started a new beginning with Yedam.

"Y/N-ah, let's go the park!" Yedam ran to me and intertwined our fingers.

"Y-Yedamie we're in public, people are staring" I got anxious by the stares of our schoolmates.

"It's alright, they already know we're dating" he chuckled.

"But still, i'm not comfortable with the staring" you whispered at him and he giggled.

"You're so cute Y/N-ah, one of the reasons why i fell for you" he kissed my forehead and my cheeks turned red like a tomato.

"L-let's just go to the park already okay? you better treat me an ice cream for this" i dragged him out of the school, feeling embarrassed that he kissed you in public even though you liked it.

"Roger" he chuckled and ruffled my hair.
