The Last Survivors

Reunion

Rachel finally reached the beach on the island and looked up at the plant life.
She thought it was strange that a planet wide ocean would have a tiny island this filled with life. She noticed a building on top of the mountain and decided to go explore up to it.
When she got to the building she noticed it was rusted. "The degasi..." She started searching for clues to end up finding nothing.
She about left what seemed to be an observatory as the piece started to crack off the building. Before she could react it detached and she fell down the mountain in the observatory. She was flung out and slammed into a tree going out like a light.

Dylan swan onto the shore and looked around for any evidence of the captain. That's when he saw a building at the top of the hill. He noticed how decrepit it looked and decided to look somewhere else. He started scanning the trees and plucked the fruit.
"Lantern fruit is a very nutritional substance that tastes sweet, easy to plant and grow without sun" he decided to take that into account and started walking off when he saw the buildings observatory falling down the mountain. It went straight for him and he dived out of the way with it going into the ocean and sinking under. He got up and followed the path it came down to see a women laying in front of a tree, blood was seeping from her head.
He ran over and tried looking her over. He found her datapad and saw it was the captain so he got a medpack and started to patch her up.
He scanned her for any major injuries and saw something alarming.
"The captain is suffering from a concussion from hitting the tree. Warning, an unknown bacterium has entered her system, scans indicate that without treatment, it can cause skin irritation and cause boils to appear." He was scared for the captains life but more worried he checked himself. It said the same thing about him.
"Shit... Shit shit shit!" He held his head in frustration but put his hands down and started to pick the captain up. No one else has appeared so he guessed that they all died by now. He got his seaglide and carried her on his back to his base.

It took till nightfall to get back and he opened the hatch to climb in. He went to his bed and laid her down. He was worried and was hoping she'd survive. He can't be left alone.
The base sounded a warning and he looked towards the hatch. He pulled out his knife and went to the hallway.
"Someone built this recently that's for sure!" It was a guys voice. Not just any guy. The man he played cards with and left behind.

It was night as Lina and Andrew approached the shallows.
"I need a break! Those sharks wanted us dead!" Andrew was sore for swimming all day when Lina pointed towards a building under the water.
"Rejoice, I think we found salvation" she decided to swim over to the building.
"Hold on, we don't even know if it's functional!"
"Then let's check"
He sighed and swan under to the hatch doorway.
He looked around the base.
"Someone built this recently that's for sure" he walked forward and a knife was at his throat.
"Lifepod number?"
