The day was surprisingly successful. Having finished all the affairs early, the young lady was in high spirits and her head was already full of ideas on how to occupy such an unexpectedly arrived free time. Last weekend, a new cozy coffee shop was opened near her house and became so popular in a matter of days that it was impossible to get in there at the weekends, and if it turned out to be there, then only after standing in a long line for few hours. "On weekdays, there should be far fewer people," she thought "So, I can enjoy my drink in relative peace and tranquility."

The warm spring sun was nicely shining and the girl decided to walk through the park to enjoy the aromas of awakening nature and the gentle light of the warm star. At this time of the day, just before noon, the park was almost deserted. All young people and adults were busy working or studying, after all, today was a working day. Only the singing of birds and the buzz of insects, which sometimes flew by for their very important matters, were carried through the air. The only visitors of the park were old people and children. Grandmothers and grandfathers of various ages walked slowly, enjoyed the sun on the benches and entertaining themselves with talking or reading newspapers. Some of them sometimes glanced at the children playing on the grass and, interrupt conversations with the neighbors on the bench, to make a remark to the disobedient child.

Her joyful and light thoughts were interrupted by a golden feather flowing smoothly in the air. She was fascinated by seeing its fall to the ground and she only had a thought: "How such beautiful feather appeared in an ordinary city park", when bird's screams and threatening hissing were heard from nearby bushes. Several more feathers soared into the air; the screams became even more pitiful. Without hesitating for a second, the young lady filled with compassion rushed through the bushes, not caring about the possibility of spoiling clothes or get scratched by the thorns sticking out on thin branches. Overcoming the obstacle, the next scene appeared in front of her eyes. A medium-sized parrot flaunted its wings from a large cat with long beige fur. The bird could not take off because of the incessant attacks of the predator, a scattering of golden feathers laid around the fighters. The feathered creature was obviously losing, and in the emerald eyes of the cat already had a triumphant light in them, but, noticing the girl, the aggressor froze, not bringing the paw to the ground. The bird, feeling that his fate as dinner had passed today, turned around and, taking advantage of the opponent's confusion, rushed to his rescuer in small jumps. The cat, realizing that he couldn't cope with this opponent, put his paw on the ground as nothing happened and, turning around, went in the opposite direction, lightly tapping his fluffy tail on the shaggy sides, giving out his annoyance.

The girl squatted in front of the bird and stretched out her hand, not daring to touch the feathered head. Noticing her gesture, the parrot was distracted from straightening himself and interrogatively tilted his head to the side. Realizing what the girl wants to do, he poked his head in her palm, as if giving his permission. The girl's fingers gently ran over the soft feathers, and he closed his eyes, enjoying the strokes.

'How beautiful you are,' words fell from the lips of the young lady. For some reason, she was sure that the bird in front of her was a male, not a female.

In response, the bird shook itself, fluffed feathers, accepting a compliment.

'My name is (Y /n). Will you live with me?' even though the girl understood that most likely, the parrot has an owner and needs to be brought home, but she could not keep her desire to have a pet. Mentally, the girl promised herself that as soon as she came home, she would immediately write an announcement on the lost animals' website.

Without thinking twice, the bird jumped up and, flapping its wings battered in a fight, flew up, sitting down on the girl's shoulder. From a surprise, the girls swayed a little, but succeed to keep her balance. As if in an apology, the bird tenderly turned the strands on the girl's head with its beak, almost burying his head in.
