The sun was slowly sliding over the horizon, shot down by the arrows of the night, and leaving behind a wide scarlet streak. It wasn't so late yet, but ink shadows had already formed on the central alley of the park, and lanterns lit up several paths, with a golden light, illuminating the path for the late travelers. After the meeting of the literary club, (Y\N) hurried home.

Thousands upon thousands of ideas for new stories swarmed in her head. She repeated them in her head and over again so as not to forget a single detail, no a single plot twist. The same song was played in the headphones over and over again, which girl found not so long ago, but already became a favorite. Among thousands of thoughts, one suddenly flashed and the aspiring writer suddenly dawned on. "Here it is!" - she exclaimed, in her thoughts, and jumped with joy. She finally found the perfect idea for the ending that will shock everyone. In the partial shade, something stirred on the bench, and this time the young lady jumped up from fright.

"Cat?" a thought that came up so well, like a frightened doe ran away and got lost among her sisters. - It's really a cat.

The fright passed and the girl, taking off the headphones, came closer to the animal. The large furry domestic predator paid no attention to the approaching young woman. He just twitched his ear, chasing the invisible fly away. His brown fur, in the light of the lantern, looked like gold thread embroidery on the tapestry. There were no tangles, no dirt, no scratches so familiar on the stray cats. It seemed that some unknown forces carried this cat from a luxurious apartment, from a silk pillow to this ordinary dirty city park, to a bench with half-faded paint. When (Y / N) came within arm's length, he nevertheless designed to turn. His emerald eyes flashed with interest, just like a human.

"Do not be afraid, I won't offend you" the young lady whispered softly, fearing that the cat would run away. As soon as the sound of her voice touched the triangular ears, the animal scurries off and jumped off the bench into the darkness. The girl sighed, and before her sigh had disappeared into the silence of the park, he jumped back onto the bench, as if he had been there all the time. The gracefully plucked eyebrows flew up, risking entanglement in the strands falling on her forehead, while the culprit himself only snorted derisively and laid down in a relaxed pose in his place. With even greater caution, she reached out her hand to him and relaxed only when her fingers touched the soft and warm fur. He only twitched his ear but had nothing against timid strokes on the back.

"And how did you end up here?" (Y/N) tried to find the collar among the thick strands of fur, but found nothing. It all got weirder and weirder. Despite the fact that stray dogs were running in packs in the park, the cat showed no signs of concern. And just in some distance barking and howling was heard. Crowds of goosebumps ran down the young lady's back. They didn't attack people, but the girl was worried not for herself, but for the cat, who, it seems, didn't care.

The young writer was an ardent cat lover and once, in a thunderstorm and a terrible downpour, she took a whole box of kittens to her home. As a result, after a couple of weeks, they were all taken apart by friends and acquaintances, but it was terribly difficult to give away cute balls of fur - even in that short time she managed to become very attached to them.

Another explosion of barking brought her out of her thoughts, this time much closer than before. The excitement grew and, having concluded that the cat, who so calmly allowed himself to be stroked, most likely wouldn't refuse to ride in her arms, the girl tried to pick him up. But this attempt was unsuccessful, because, with truly feline grace, the animal twisted himself out, and looked at the impudent violator of his cat calmness. A couple more attempts ended with the same result, except that the "victim" now decided to defend himself and brandished a clawed paw in front of himself.
