Chapter 8:Fixing

Calum and I have been going to this diner since J13, we sit at the same booth and occasionally listen to the same song when we first kissed here. I head into the diner and I'm anxious to open the text message, but I don't. I look left and then right until my eyes finally land on the back of Calum's black messy hair. I walk closer. He's looking outside the window with an alert face. I get up behind him put my arms around his neck and whisper

Helena:boo!

He jumps a little then smiles recognizing my voice. He grabs my hand and pulls it towards him. He gets me on top of his lap, my body facing the direction of the boom box, but my face is facing him. We look in each other's eyes for what seemed like an eternity, until I smile then he smiles. He brushes a little piece of hair behind my ear then leaves that hand on my face. I put my hand on that hand and then the other on the back of his neck. We both lean in and kiss each other hello. I'm surprised he didn't sneak his tongue in. But I'm classy, I like kissing better than making out. We pull away at the same time and then I say

Helena:Hey

Calum:Hey beauty

I look down and smile then look back at him. I kiss him on the cheek then get up and sit across from him. He grabs my hands on the table, kisses them then starts to rub my knuckles. We look at each other. He says

Calum:you're so beautiful

Helena:Thank you, you're pretty beautiful too

I laugh. Gosh I'm such a girl. Giggling and laughing like this. Calum see me thinking

Calum:I think it is so cute how you laugh and smile all the time. It makes me really happy. Don't ever stop doing that, okay?

Helena:I can make that promise. So guess what?

I get really excited and start shaking my left leg up and down. He laughs then says

Calum:are you having a seizure your leg is moving pretty quick there.

Helena:no I just am really really excited.

Calum:okay let me guess....you love me?

I shake my head and say

Helena:not yet

we both smile and he blushes insanely.

Calum:okay umm.....you got a job?

Helena:yes what kind of job though?

Calum:umm waitress at this diner?

Helena:nope

Calum:umm a Victoria Secret model?

I say playfully and smack his hand lightly

Helena:nope you pervert, but close

Calum:come on, I'm not the first guy that you meet that likes Victoria Secret models.

Helena:just shut up, maybe one day, but not right now

Calum:well I'm willing to wait for that day

I pull my hands out of his from excitement raise them and burst out.

Helena:I'm a Calvin Klein model now!!!

Calum:seriously wow that's amazing!

Helena:I know right I'm a model

Calum:no I mean I'm having a secret affair with a model, that's amazing

he winks and laughs which makes me laugh

Helena:oh Calum

Calum:can you blame me?

we bend over the table to reach over to each other. Our foreheads touching and our hands intertwined. We get closer laughing. I say
