My Review:
It is a cliché story but one of concepts I like, I personally like the twist the female lead is the one to be famous instead of male lead. The thing I found with this is even though it's predictable and unpredictable at quite few points it's connects with a point known as high school life. Teenage drama at it's best. It even has reality mixed with fiction, not the real kind of reality but the part where it shows the people in the story are also humans they feel pressure and they love the normalcy of life and not everything turns out fine because she is a superstar. I like the cover but could have been a lot better. Summary gives you a good insight into the story and I haven't actually observed until I was reviewing the story the summary was quite good considering the other stories where there is barely any summary.
I think the story is not at is best as the writer mentioned that they wrote it when they were 15/16 but it's fun to read if your looking for something cliché and unpredictable. If you are going for perfection and good writing style then his is definitely not a story for you. The best part is you don't realize what went wrong until the last moment (at least I didn't).
About the characters the aren't too many as Evie was a nerd and Adam was a popular jock they have a small group of friends that they loved a lot but a few didn't return the sentiments (at least feels that way). I would like to start with grace typical stereotypical famous jealous friend who's intention wasn't to hurt their friend but it just happened and the reason is jealousy. Then, Valarie, there is nothing more than she was a supposed best friend. Paul, He is my favorite the naive and amazing best friend. Hollie, she is sweet heart but way too pushy. Melody and Addy they are like sisters who help Adam and Evie a lot even though they didn't realize it, the care a lot for their siblings and do their best to make sure they are happy. Cassidy is the typical older sister who looks out for their siblings. But I think both Adam and Evie's parents leave them on their own, I think they should have had a bit more role in the story.
Well on to main characters, Adam, way too sensitive for a guys but at the same time not perceptive about the situations he gets himself into, but on the whole a normal guy with normal dreams. Evie, even though she has her flaws she is way too young to handle so much on her own she has a bit of frictional personality. But something I didn't like about it is that both main leads were blabbing idiots, Adam, it wouldn't matter much but Evie has to learn to keep her mouth shut if she wants to survive in place they call Hollywood.
It is a good story to read for passing time and have a bit of fun and relax. I liked the story as liked the concept but if you don't like the concept I doubt you will like the story.
