I was in the nursery holding Hope and Faith while they both slept and Klaus and Damon were talking in my room and I watched them and I got up and walked to them "I heard you both talking about Stefan he doesn't remember anything?" I said quietly "lily you have twin girls to deal with we'll handle Stefan" Damon said "Stefan's my brother too Damon I deserve to help I want to help" "all the pain you went through you have to just rest" "Klaus I think-...I-....their life started so violent and-......they don't deserve this I trust you-.... to protect them take them to New Orleans while I stay here and readjust-......I want Hayley to go with you and help protect them and when I'm ready I'll go to you" I cried "Lily you don't have to do this" Damon said "I can't do this Damon I'm not ready to take care of twins and a three year old-....I can't do it I'm not saying to send them away I'm saying keep them safe and hidden until I'm ready" I cried.
I was packing clothes for Hope and Faith in their baby bags As I cried even more but this is too much I love them but I'm not ready for this and I sighed and tried to calm down when I finished I watched them in their crib and I smiled when Faith started to cry and I picked her up "shhh mommy's here and daddy is going to take care of you for a while but I promise you and your sister will return to me" I smiled as she looked in my eyes and I rocked her back and forth as she stopped crying and fell asleep and I put her in her car seat And I picked up Hope and put her in her car seat as well and then Klaus walked in "I promise I'll protect them" he said "I believe you" then he kissed me and picked up Hope and Faith's car seat and left "Goodbye my beautiful girls".
