We were are the church for the priest funeral who died in the fire and I saw Elena so I walked up to her "how are you feeling? You look a little,uh strong out" "I'm fine..it's just my emotions are all over the place..everything is heightened..I mean just the sight of all the names of the dead makes me want to cry for a week" "you didn't have to volunteer" "People died people we've known our whole lives so..yeah I did..is that?" Then she looked over to the girl "April Young,yeah" "oh wow" then Elena walks to April so I sat and waited when Elena ran off so I ran after her.
I was waiting with Elena in the bathroom cleaning because she trow up blood and she was talking to Damon over the phone when someone rattled the door knob "someone is in here!" I yelled "Damon hurry!" Elena said then Damon came And we opened the door "sorry I spilled coffee all over my dress" and the hunter looked at me confused "I was helping her" and he nodded then Elena went to change "I'm Connor Jordan" then he put his hand up but it was soaked in vervain "Damon germaphobe" "Liliana honored" Then I shook his hand and the vervain didn't work on me "everything ok in there?"Damon asked Elena "yeah just a minute!" "So What brings you to mystic falls?.. bible sails-men?" Than the hunter chuckles "no no I'm actually I'm in uh environmental cleanup" "oh" I said "heard you had a bit of a pollution problem" "huh well I was unaware" Damon said "hmm" "I breath pretty easy" then Elena came out "I'm so sorry that took so long" "no problem" "well enjoy your stay..we love visitors and the scenery is to die for.." then I gasp "funeral parlor too soon sorry " I joked then we left.
"Did you bring the blood bag?" Elena asked as we went outside "want to say that a little louder?" But when she drank it she trow it up "Elena!" "No I can't..it taste like..what's wrong with me?" "I don't know..maybe it's your doppelgänger blood,your rejecting the transition" "I'm dying aren't I?" "No,no your not..you just need to drink from the vein" "no,no I can't risk killing anyone lily..maybe I'm better off dead" "don't even think like that Elena.you'll be fine..ok?" Then the church bell rings "I have to get back inside" she said and left so I grabbed the bag and threw it out and picked up my purse and I saw Stefan "oh great" I mumbled "what was in the bag Liliana" "mid service snack church always gets my hungry" but Stefan glared at me "I bought it for Elena" I admitted "you're really intent on having it your way?" "It's not my way Stefan,it's the only way" "if she hurts someone she'll be desperate to turn the guilt off...maybe even desperate to turn her humanity off" "What,and become a ripper?" "We can't let her be anything like me" "oh god forbid she's anything like Damon that's really what your thinking she's going to fall of the rails eventually Stefan so the faster we can make it happen the sooner we can get her back on track" "she's strong if we help her she can survive" "she's starving Stefan she hasn't been able to keep blood down for days" I shot out "what are you talking about?she told me she was fine" "well she lied your four-legged animal protein shake was a bust the juice box was a no-go she can't even keep Damon's blood down" "She drank from Damon?" "Oops,did I say that out loud?" Then I walked away to leave Stefan in his thoughts.
Then I walked into the church and sat next to Elena and Stefan sat next to me then the mayor carol went up to the stand "before we begin the mass,we'd like to open the floor to anyone who would like to share a memory about our late friends on the town council I know that April young wanted to say a few words about her dad,April?are you still here honey?..is there anyone else who would like to share a recollection or a memory about pastor young?" Than Elena stood up "come on up Elena" Than Damon walked in "I,um when I talked to April earlier she was kind of nervous about coming up to speak,and now that I'm up here I'm kind of nervous too..the worst day of loving someone is when you lose them then I smelled blood "do you smell that" I asked Stefan "blood" and Elena looked uncomfortable so Stefan went to get her "don't move don't look back it's a trap" "Please turn to page 42 in your hymn book as we join together in song" so we got up "Stefan the blood I can smell it it's so much" Elena panted "focus push back come on you can do this" "what's wrong with her?" Matt asked "she's hungry she hasn't fed" "so get her out of here" "no we can't there's somebody watching us" I said "well I'm going to go rip his head off" Damon said"do that Damon and risk exposing all of us" I said "well I think the risk will be slightly diminished when I you know rip his head off" "Stefan I'm losing it" Elena panicked "you have ten seconds before I go old fashioned on the new guy" "don't do it Damon please" Stefan begged " 3,2,1,Bye" "wait wait Elena feed from me it's ok everyone will think your upset" so she moved over to Matt and bit his neck gently then she pulled away "I'm ok but the blood there's so much..it's got to be April we have to help her" "Elena we can't risk it" I growled "then I'll do it" but then Tyler went up to the stand "excuse me I wanted to say a few words about pasted Young.." "what do we do" Elena asked and we all sat down "back in first grade I was a brat who couldn't be bothered with team sports didn't care much about anything that didn't affect me but he was the one who made me understand how important it is to be apart of a team;a community of yourself up for the sake of— But then Tyler was cut off by him getting shot everyone screamed and I ran up there with Caroline I kneeled down and pulled the stake out and he gasped awake "I'm going to kill that bastard" he said "Damon way ahead of you I'm going to help him stay here" Stefan said "what about April?" Elena asked "I got it go" I told Stefan "I have to call an ambulance" carol said "no,he's fine" Caroline said "the whole town just watched you get shot I'm calling an ambulance" "Elena?".
I ran up to the balcony of the church to see Elena and April who was covered in blood Elena went to bite her but I sped and grabbed Elena away "she's not dead but if you feed on her you will kill her" "let go of me!!" "Look at her!look at her Elena its April.April Young she's not a warm body for you to feed on she's your friend" then Elena calmed down "she's an orphan just like you,and she's scared just like you were" Than I bit into my hand to feed April my blood to heal her And she drank it and woke up scared "please don't hurt me!" "No one's going to hurt you" then I got up and looked at Elena "she needs you,you can make her forget all of this" "Why did he do this" April cried "no I- -I can't lily you have to do it" "no, the only way you're going to learn is if you do it yourself" "no I can't-.... "yes you can you just need to believe what your telling her" Than Elena walked over "April listen to me your going to get through this I promise and I'm going to help you I promise" "I'm going to be ok you're going to help me" then Elena looked at me smiling and I smiled at her too "you watched the funeral up here so that you could grieve alone it was a beautiful service people said really nice things" and April smiled.
Me and Elena were at the boarding house and I poured Elena whiskey she smelled it and made a nasty face "Helps with the cravings" she drank it and coughed "Stefan's mad" "yeah he's mad you lied to him" "I didn't lie..I just didn't tell him" "oh come on Elena you lied to him" "he was just so happy things we're going well and- "you think he's happy?" "I just didn't want to ruin it for him" "Elena your in hell which means that he's in hell and then you go to Damon for help" she looked at me with tears in her eyes "yeah because I thought that he would understand" "you think Stefan doesn't you think I don't?" "Lily please.." "You fed on him,Elena you fed on him on Damon I know that may not mean much to you but it means a lot to Stefan And he and I know that it certainly meant a lot to Damon" "I didn't want to hurt Stefan I'm I'm sorry" Elena cried "Looking really sorry I why am I crying I am so sick of crying" "your emotions are a bit heightened right now" "I feel like I've been crying since the day my parents died my life is like a never ending funeral" Elena paced back and forth "we keep burying people lily you want to know what heightened? It's grief I can't stop feeling everyone's grief All the hurt I feel like it's trying to explode out of me" "Come on...come with me" "where?" "Something we need to do you said you can't stop feeling everyone's grief well let it out so come with me".
Later on we all lighted lanterns to let all of our pain out all the grief.
