Part 2

Joe went back to his job of checking IDs, as there was now a much longer line of even angrier customers waiting for him, but he couldn't help but continue to think about that woman's age as he worked.  According to the number glowing above her head, she was 5,749 years old. He knew his break would be coming up soon, so he decided to think more about it then, when he had more time.

After checking around two hundred more IDs, Joe finally got his break, and his coworker Tom took over for him. As Joe was walking away from the front door for his break, he saw the same woman from earlier. He decided to go talk to her. Joe walked over to her and said in a nervous tone, "Hi, my name's Joe."

"Oh, hi there. You're the doorman, right?" she asked. "Shouldn't you be back at the door checking IDs?"

"I'm on my break right now," he responded. "Someone else took over for me. I just came over because I wanted to ask you a question."

"Okay, I guess," the woman said.  "Fire away."

"Here, come over here first," Joe said quietly while ushering the woman towards the side of the main room.  "I don't want anyone else to hear us talking about this."  They sat down at one of the tables away from most of the other people at the club.  Joe brought his voice down to a quiet whisper.  "So, I know it sounds crazy, but I have the ability to see people's ages above their heads."  The woman let out a small gasp at this.

"Prove it," she said.  "What's my age?"

"Well, um, I'm not sure this is right, but are you 5,749 years old?" Joe asked.

"How?  But— this isn't possible!" the woman exclaimed.  Then she brought her voice down to a whisper.  "Follow me," she said to Joe as she led him towards the exit.  "I guess I need to show you something.  You still have plenty of time left for your break, right?"

Joe looked at his watch.  "Yeah, I guess so," he replied as they both walked out through the side exit.  "Where are we going?" he asked, completely confused at this point.
