Chapter 2

Harmony's POV

RRRRRRIIIIIINNNNNNNGGGG!!!

I slam my hand down on my alarm clock and reluctantly pull myself out of bed. I got into the shower, the water hitting my body and waking me up. I put on a pair of dark wash skinnies, a baggy jumper and a floral scarf, did my makeup and curled my hair lightly before heading downstairs.

“Good morning sweetheart,” My dad said in his cheeriest mood.

“Morning dad.” I got a piece of toast, popped it in the toaster and got a glass of apple juice from the fridge while I waited for my toast to cook.

“Well, I’m off to work, have good day!” My dad waved good bye and off he went to work. My toast popped from the toaster, I spread some jam and peanut butter on it before eating it quickly and running out the door to be welcomed by my brand new car. Oh I love it so much. I got in and drove my way to school feeling so great that I can finally drive myself.

“Good morning baby,” a familiar voice said as I felt arms wrap around my waist and someone kiss the top of my head lightly.

“Morning Kaiden,” I replied and turn around in his arms.

“I see you drove your new convertible to school.”

“Yes I did, I love it thank you!” I said, pecking his lips.

“I knew you would, now come on, let’s go to class. People are already in there I think.” Luckily, this year we had scored our 4 cores together. We also had already made 2 other friends in the class; Luke and Jackson. They are actually pretty good guys and it was only October and we were already great friends. Luke was a little quieter, really nice though and Jackson was like the class clown, always making jokes. The first month so far had been really great. I’d gotten all good grades on my first couple of test and I wasn’t going to start getting bad already. I was aiming for proficiency this year and I planned to get it.

“Hey guys,” we casually greeted Luke, Jackson, Belle and Blaine as we sat in out desk near them.

“I’m so tired. I wanna go home.” Luke groaned.

“I’m pretty sure we all do Luke, well except Mr. Teachers pet over there.” Kaiden teased, pointing at the blonde kid sitting in the first desk at the front of the class with all his books out and ready. We all stifled a laugh. “Hey watch this.” Kaiden got up and walked his way over to the kid’s desk. “Hey, uhh Caleb right? Hi so I was wondering what day the project for Social was due?”

“November 2nd,” Caleb answered immediately not even looking up from his desk.

“Sweet, thanks bud; I was also wondering where you get your hair done? It’s pretty sick and I want to get my hair done like that,” Kaiden lied, looking over at us and rolling his eyes.

“Well, uhh, ahem… my uhh mom cuts my hair,” Caleb stuttered.

“Ha! Your mom?” Kaiden scoffed. “Caleb’s a wittle mommy’s boy isn’t he?” Kaiden laughed again before throwing Caleb’s books on the ground, leaving him scrambling for all his papers that were now scattered across the floor. Kaiden sat back down in his desk. “Pah! What a loser…” Luke, Jackson, Blaine and Belle were laughing at him trying to get his stuff back together. I let out a little laugh but I never really did find any of Kaiden’s taunting that funny. He was a really great guy and all but he was kind of a jerk sometimes. The bell rang signaling the beginning of class. We had English first block and it went pretty smooth. After class the 4 of us got up and started heading to our next class.
