Chapter 3

Belle’s POV

Everyone left and I was left alone. Both my parents were out of town on a business trip so I had the whole house to myself. Not like I have anything exciting to do anyways. Ever since Kaiden said that thing about me and Blaine, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I mean, were we really perfect for each other? No we couldn’t. No. I’m just going crazy. Get it out of your head Belle. God.

*Next Morning*

I got all ready for school, dressed in light wash, ripped jeans, a black, baggy t-shirt that had the words “Love Struck” in pink, on it. I fishtailed my hair to the side, did my regular makeup routine, sprayed on some of Taylor Swifts “Enchanted” perfume and off I went to school. I took the bus to school and once I there I met Blaine and Jackson in the parking lot. We walked into the school and down the hallway where we found an extremely awkward looking Luke standing against the lockers beside Harmony and Kaiden. The awkward part? Kaiden and Harmony’s major make out sesh.

“Guys, help. The PDA over here… make it stop.” Luke practically begged. Poor guy, from knowing him so far I could tell he’s not all that comfortable with relationships and stuff.

“Guys, quit it. Sex is not allowed in the hallways.” Blaine joked causing Jackson, Luke and me to laugh but Blaine got the death stare from both Kaiden and Harmony before they continued their making out.

“Oh my god guys, you are acting as if you haven’t see each other in months. Now stop.” Blaine pulled them apart and stood between them. It was so cute seeing Blaine act all mature with them… WHOA WHOA, hold up Belle. Did you just call Blaine cute? No, just no… At least now Harmony and Kaiden stopped. I feel like she has changed because of Kaiden. When they first began dating they were fine but the ending of last year and the beginning of this one… I don’t know. Whatever it was, I didn’t like it. But if Harmony loves him, then so be it but he better not change her any more than he already has… The bell rang and we all filed into class. Just as Kaiden passed Caleb’s desk he threw a fake punch at his face. Caleb flinched and made a girlish squealing noise in the process. I couldn’t help but laugh. We all did.

“Aww, little Caleb scared of a fake punch? Why don’t you go cry to your mommy?” Kaiden taunted. Caleb just put his head down and opened his textbook for class. Kaiden sat down in his desk, still laughing at his great comedic scene. Which wasn’t all that funny anyways, Kaiden was just kind of a cocky jerk at times. The teacher, who was too stupid to even realize what had just happened, started the class. As always, a long hour with the only highlights of Jackson making his comedic remarks to Mrs.Tylers class ended. The rest of the school day continued on and finally it was the end of the day. Blaine opted to drive me home after school and of course, I accepted. We got in his car and turned up the music. I’m On A Roll by Stefano was playing and we started dancing in our seats all crazy and singing along to the lyrics like the freaks we were. Times like this with Blaine were the best. We arrived at my house and I grabbed my books and got out of Blaine’s car.

“See you tomorrow, thanks for the ride.”  I smiled.

“No problem, see ya Belle,” Blaine waved and smiled his adoring smile. My heart fluttered. What is happening to me? I’ve never felt this way around Blaine. Quit it Belle, you can’t like him. Blaine drove away and I entered my house. I finished my homework but I was distracted the whole time thinking of Blaine. What Kaiden said was bugging me so much. I needed to talk to someone. I wanted to talk to Harmony but her and Kaiden we’re hanging out. Ugh she spent so much time with him. It’s getting a little annoying. She and I haven’t had a “girl’s night” in forever. Kaiden always has to come. Ugh it’s dumb. But I still wanted someone to talk to. I could probably call Luke. We hadn’t been friends for long but I know I can trust him. He has given me really good advice in the past so I decided to call him. I picked up my iPhone and clicked his contact. The phone started ringing and I heard the click of someone picking up.

“Hello?” Luke asked into the phone.

“Hey Luke, its Belle.”

“Hey what’s up?”

“I need to talk to you about something.”

“Sure, what’s going on?”

“It’s Blaine.”

“Yeah, what about him?”

“About what Kaiden said. It’s bugging me.”

“He was kidding Belle; don’t let it get to you.”

“No, I think he might be right…”

“Wha... What?!”

“Don’t freak out please. I’m freaking out myself. I think... I think I like him…” I admitted.

“Well, what’s the big deal? Tell him.” Luke said bluntly

“Luke it’s not that easy! We’ve always just been friends! He probably doesn’t feel the same.”

“You never know until you try.”

“You don’t get it! If I tell him and he doesn’t feel the same… that could ruin our friendship.”

“Belle, a little cheesy but good piece of advice for you: Don’t hold back because of fear. It could be the best decision of your life. Like I said, you never know till you try. I think you guys would be good. We all think so. And if you tell him and he doesn’t feel the same, you will learn to not either. No friendships ruined.”

“You always know what to say.”

“Of course I do. I’m Luke Hartman.” He said proudly.

“Okay don’t get cocky now,” I laughed. “Thanks Luke.”

“Welcome Belle. See you tomorrow!”

“Bye!” I clicked end call and sighed. Maybe Luke was right. I should just try. I fell asleep with good thoughts of a possible relationship with Blaine. I couldn’t believe I was going to try this. Hopefully it will work out.
