Bar of soap

I felt awful. I was in the gang for only a couple of months and I turned it upside down. I've ruined everything. I damaged too much equipment. I've got people kicked out of the gang, their home, their sanctuary and their life. These thoughts roamed through my head while I was showering. After an hour or two, I was drained- lethargic- exhausted of all the negativity engulfing my thoughts. I got a towel and wrapped it around my body before wrapping another around my head and getting ready to leave. I began walking out of the bathroom when I slipped on a bar of soap and let out a loud shriek before falling onto the tiled floor. My head hit the tile and before long my vision was hazy and i had lost consciousness.

After God knows how long, I awoke in a comfortable bed and not the cold tiled floor. It took a while for my eyes to adjust to the light and it took me by surprise when I saw Robert head laying on the bed next to me. I stare at him for a while and trace his face before finally deciding it was kind of creepy. I check the time and it was 10pm. I tried to pull Robert onto the bed without waking him, but to no avail. He awoke and looked slightly confused as he rubbed his eyes. "What? What's going on? Wait.... Are you okay? I was so worried about you" he mumbled quickly, with exhaustion etched on his face.
"Shhh..nothing's going on. Everything's fine. Now go back to sleep" I whisper and kiss his forehead, before letting his head rest on my chest. I continue to mumble sweet nothings in his ear. And before long you could here his soft cute snores. And before long I returned to a peaceful slumber.

The next morning, I awoke to Robert's face. He was staring at me as I slept. Not at all creepy.
"Robert, don't you have anything better to do than staring at me?" I ask, teasingly.
"No, I don't have anything better on my agenda than staring at this beauty in front of me." He responded, laughing lightly. A small blush painted my cheeks, before I realise that I was wearing clothes and not in the towel I was in when I slipped.
"Umm...Robert, who changed me?" I asked.
"Don't worry, it wasn't me or any of the boys. I would never change you without your consent. I had the maid change you." Robert responded, defensively.
" By the way, how long was I unconscious for before I woke up yesterday?" I questioned, slightly worried.
"7-8 hours,  I suppose. Don't worry you didn't miss anything. If you aren't up for it today, you can start training tomorrow " he explained.
" no I don't mind starting today."
" By the way, how did you manage to knock yourself unconscious yesterday? You are so clumsy" He teased, with a cheeky smile.
" I slipped on a bar of soap, " I blushed, feeling embarrassed, " but in my defence why was there a random bar of soap in the middle of the bathroom? We should have a rule about that"
" It may raise a few questions if we add a rule forbidding anyone from leaving soap on the bathroom floor. You'll be found out and be very embarrassed. Wouldn't you rather this tale stay between the two of us?" He stated.
" yep, forget what I said. Don't make a rule about that and keep this story a secret"
" Don't worry your secret's safe with me. But be careful next time! You're lucky that you didn't break your head open." He warned giving me a hug.
Logan suddenly walked in and sees Robert and I laying down next to each other in bed conversing and assumed, " you guys are already a thing? Dude, I get their was a connection between you two, but that was fast. I'm not going to complain though, I was rooting got you both."
An awkward silence settled and Robert and I thought about how to correct Logan's assumption.
After a minute or two of silence, I couldn't take it anymore and Robert wouldn't say anything so I corrected, " Logan, Robert and I aren't a thing. We are just having a deep conversation and sleeping. We are not together. Is that so difficult for you to comprehend?"
Logan took a step back and looked slightly offended, before retorting, " I understood that very well, thank you very much"
Then he walked out of the room after sending me an offended look and slammed the door shut.
Robert and I laughed at Logan's childish antics.
Robert and I then began a conversation and continued to talk for another 20 minutes, before a shrill sound came from Robert's jacket.
He got up from the bed and made his way to his jacket, before pulling out his phone from his jacket pocket. After checking the caller ID his face hardened and body stiffened before he shuffled out of the room.
The call lasted half an hour. He sounded really upset and angry as the phone call progressed.
After the call ended, he thew his phone at the wall and the phone shattered into smithereens.
I walk towards him and place a hand on his shoulder, he flinched at my touch and pried my hands off him.
" Robert, are you okay? Talk to me!" I begged him as he gave me a cold dark look that I'll never forget, before walking away and leaving me behind to dwell on his mood change and to pick up the broken phone pieces. After a few minutes, I hear the front door slam shut and the car engine starting and see his car drive off into the distance.
A few hours later, Logan walked towards me to talk about Robert's mood change, " Izzy, don't mind Robert, he was really upset about what happened to his sister"
" what happened to his sister?" I questioned, curiosity getting the better of me.
"It's not my place to tell, Izzy, when Robert returns he'll tell you himself." Logan responded, frowning as he thought of Robert's problem.
