Chapter 2

*Continued*




After leaving Antonio's house, you went back to yours. You felt so, hurt, in so much pain. You gave your everything to him and yet he still cheated on you. Yoou weren't going to let this break up get the best of you. You ran to your house with your things you took from Antonio's home. Once inside your house, you close the door and went straight up to your room, entering it and went straight to the photo album that was strictly of you and Antonio.


"If i'm truely letting him go..Anything that was about me and him, I must get rid of."


You got up, going over to the mini trash can you had in your bedroom and threw it away, along with old love notes, drawings, almost everything. Your phone went off and you looked to see who it was. A smile creeped onto your face as you saw it was from Gilbert.

Gilbert: Hey, you okay? :(

You chuckle, texting him back.

(Y/N): Yeah, currently at home, throwing away stuff that had anything to do with me and Antonio. :) It actually feels nice getting rid of all this stuff...

You go to your bed and lay down, setting your phone down, waiting for him to reply. Once he did, you pick your phone back up and saw what he said.


Gilbert: I'm glad your moving on!! :D You just earned 'Awesome' points in my book! Moving on is good, but just know that it is okay to cry wunderschönen. Tears don't suit you anyways. :)


You chuckle again, its felt as if Antonio was no where near your mind anymore and you were happy. You and Gilbert ended up texting for hours and hours on end, you really enjoyed talking to him, probably more than you did with Antonio. You checked the time and saw that it was nearly midnight. You smile tiredly and texted Gilbert.

(Y/N): As much as I would luv 2 keep talking, I should probably get to bed, lucky me its Sunday tomorrow. I don't have to face Antonio just yet. Tho, he better not come over tomorrow to try and get me to take him back. I swear to Arthur's burnt scones I will punch him so hard in the face..XD


~Gilbert's P.O.V.~

I laugh softly at her text once I received it, smiling softly. I was quick to text her back.


Me: Well, if you want I can come over tomorrow and if he does show up, I can take care of him. Don't want you wasting your energy on him after what he did. :/


I hit send and I felt my face was warm, was I, blushing? I know I am in love with (Y/n) but I do want to give her time to heal. I will be there for her any way I can. I truely love her...I would NEVER treat her the way Antonio did..I snapped out of my thought when I heard my phone go off and I see it was a text from her.


(Y/N): That would be awesome!! :D Plus, you'll probably break his face better than me so theres that!! XD


Me: Yeah well, you know how I am! The AWESMOE me always willing to help!!
Me: Shit, typo. Awesome*


(Y/N): You silly man, well, night Gil! See you tomorrow. And thank you for talking to me...I do feel a lot better. ^u^


Me: Oh of course! You're one of my best friends! I'll literally walk through fire for you!!


(Y/N): OMG NO!! Don't do that!! I actually perfer you to be alive thank you!!


I laugh happily at her response, sighing softly. I texted her goodnight and set my phone down on my dresser that was next to my bed. I turned and faced the window, seeing the moon.


"I promise (Y/n)...I will never hurt you...I will never make you cry, or regret being with me...I want a life with you (y/n)...I hope you will return my feelings one day.."


I say before closing my eyes, going to sleep, a small smile on my face.



✨Next Day✨

I wake up, checking the time as I saw it was 9:30 in the morning. After laying in bed for almost 15 minutes, I sit up, stretching my arms and got out of bed.


"I need to eat breakfast and get a shower before I go over to (Y/n)'s house. I can't wait to see her..."


I smile happily as I did my daily stuff. Ate, showered, brushed my teeth, and so on. Once I got my shoes on, I left my house and went straight to (Y/n)'s house! I hope she's awake. I might want to text her, just to be on the safe side. If I've learned anything from being best friends with (Y/n), is that you do not and I mean DO NOT! Want to wake her up...All hell breaks loose at that point and then you'll probably never hear the end of it after that..I think thats why Feliciano hasn't been over at (Y/n)'s house in a while.


Me: Hey (Y/n)!! You awake yet duckie?


Maybe 2 minutes later, she texted back.


(Y/N): Yeah, been up for maybe and hour now. When you are coming over?


Me: I'm actually on my way now. I think I'm almost there.


(Y/N): Alright! Well, I just got out of the shower so, you know where the spare house key is, be sure and take that inside with you, just in case Antonio tries to make a surprise drop in. You know?


Me: I get it, alright. I'll see you in a few.


(Y/N): K! See you in a bit!! <3


I chuckle as I continued to walk to her house, once I got there, I grabbed her spare key, unlocking the door and took the key inside like I was instructed to do. I close and lock her door and went upstairs to her bedroom, seeing the door was closed. I gave it a knock.


"(Y/n)! I'm here!"


"Awesome! Be out in a sec!!"


"Okay!"


I went downstairs to her living room, sitting down on her couch and turned on the TV to see what was on. After 5 minutes, (Y/n) comes down, wearing a over-sized t-shirt and leggings, her (H/l) (H/c) a bit of a mess. She sits next to me smiling.


"Whatchu watching?"


She asked me, I look at the screen and shrugged.


"I honestly have no idea."


We share a laugh and just watched whatever was on. It was nice if i'm being honest...She smelled of cherry blossoms and vanilla which caused me to smile softly. After what felt like 5 hours of us just watching TV and snacking, I couldn't really hold in my feelings anymore...


'I have to tell her...I don't know how much longer I can keep it a secret...'


I thought, gently tapping on her shoulder once I got enough courage.


"Um..(Y-Y/n)?"


She turns and faces me, tilting her head.


"Yes Gilbert?"


"I..I have something I need to tell you.."


She sits up and turned to face me, letting me know that she was listening, I sit up also and faced her too and gulped.


"W-Well...(Y/n)...I need to be honest, the first day we met back in 7th grade, I thought you were going to take my best friends away from me, I didn't like you at all. But, as time went on, I started to like you to where we also became best friends!! But..then I started feeling..something else.."


My face was a dark shade of red, not daring to look up at (Y/n), she was quiet and I continued.


"(Y/n)..I think I'm in lo-"


I was cut off by a knock on the door.


"I wonder who that is..One second Gilbert."


She got up and went to the door, I sigh nodding. I heard the door open and I heard a gasp leaving (Y/n)'s mouth.


"Antonio.."



~Your P.O.V.~


"Antonio.."


You paused for a moment, seeing the man that broke your heart, though, you did expect him to come here, it still shocked you that he was stupid enough to even show up. You growled as your expression went from shocked to pissed.


"What do you want Antonio? Aren't you supposed to be at Emma's house?"

You hissed, causing him to flinch.


"(Y/n)..Please listen to me.."


"No, you listen to me Antonio. I gave you all my love and attention and you still fucking cheated on me! What? Was I not good enough to you Antonio? Was I not what you wanted? Well oh fucking well because I am so done with you! You broke my heart and now you come here expecting me to just fucking take you back!?"


You snapped at him, Antonio now to shock to even speak. You felt a hand gently touch your shoulder, you turned your head and saw Gilbert and you calmed down, smiling at him. Antonio sees this and his eyes widen.


"Gilbert, w-why are you here?"


"Because I taking care of the one I love and I rather you not come back here or else Antonio, you probably won't see the light of day again."


You blush with what Gilbert said, looking at him.


'H-He..He loves me?'


You thought, smiling happily at him, before Antonio could even try to protest, you kick the door shut and locked in again, jumping up in Gilbert's arms and wraps your arms around his neck.


"D-Did you really mean what you said..?"


You asked him, blushing darkly. He also blushes, realizing what he had said, nodding a bit as he looked you in the eyes.


"Y-Yes...(Y/n) I've loved you for a while now...I want to give you time to heal so I won't force you to be with m-"


You cut him off by pressing your lips against his, smiling in the kiss. He was shocked but almost immediately kissing you back. He held you close to him and slowly broke the kiss.


"I'm already over Antonio Gil...I want to give us a chance."

You smile at him lovingly which caused him to blush more if it was even possible. He smiles happily.


"Ich liebe dich (Y/n).."


He says softly to you, smiling.


"I love you too Gilbert.."

✨Extended Ending!✨

As years passed, you and Gilbert were much more happier. You two got married at one point and even had your own family!! Twins actually! One boy and one girl who were named Leon and Sophia.

The little family unit were walking in the park, the twins a little ahead of you and your husband Gilbert. Sophia ran into someone, someone you haven't seen in a very long time.


"S-Sorry mister!"


Your shy daughter got up off the ground and hid behind her brother. The guy looked down and sees the twins and smiles at them.


"No no its okay, just be a little bit more careful next..time.."


He looked up, seeing his old best friend and his ex.


"Gilbert? (Y/n)?"


"Oh, hey Antonio."


You gave him a smile and waved, Gilbert also greeted him and picked up the kids.


"Gilbert, hun, could you take the kids to the play for a bit?"


"Sure, I'll be over there if you need me."


He pecked your lips before taking the kids to play, you and Antonio sit on the bench that was next to you and it was quiet at first.


"So..You and Gilbert?"


"Hm? Oh! Yeah, Gil and me are married and those are our kids. Leon and Sophia Beilschmidt. Gilbert and me have been married for probably 4 years now. I got pregnant with the twins the night he proposed to me. We've been strong ever since."


Antonio nods and looks to the side.


"Well, my life could be better...Emma and me got in a fight so she's not talking to me and stuff."


"I'm sorry to hear that Antonio."


"(Y/n)...I am sorry that I hurt you, it was the dumbest mistake in my life and I know I can't go back in time and change it but if I could I would.."


"Antonio, I'm sorry but, I like where I am now. I mean, yeah what you did was stupid but now I'm with someone a lot better and I have a family with him now."


You got up smiling.


"I should get going, goodbye Antonio, I hope it goes well."


You left and went back to your husband and kids, joining them in their game.



~Antonio's P.O.V.~


When (Y/n) walked away, it's like she was walking out of my life again...I really hate what I did to her and it was all my fault...I wish her the best of luck and I hope she knows that...I'll always love her...With that, I got up and walked home, knowing that the one I love, is much happier with someone else.
