I felt exhaustion creep up on me even in my sleep. My eyes fluttered open and I blearily looked at the ceiling. Blinding white faced me and I squinted at the slight burning.
I turned my head and gazed around, I recognized the layout of Konoha hospital. Seeing no one in the room, I closed my eyes, intent on going back to bed.
"Good morning!" I grunted and peeked through my eye. A medic was approaching my bed with a happy smile.
I sighed heavily, guess I won't be getting any more sleep. I wasn't tired per say but my whole body felt like dead weight.
"Sakishima-san?"
I grunted in question. She didn't respond and I reluctantly opened my eyes. She smiled brightly and began rattling off. "You're suffering from chakra exhaustion so you'll be staying here for a few days. We've already sent word to your sensei and he'll be joining us soon." I frowned at the thought of Ibiki-sensei but didn't dare interrupt.
She fiddled with the clipboard hanging off the bed. "Make sure not to fall back asleep and I'll be back with some soup." She leaned closer to me, "What would you like? Chicken or Beef?"
I hummed, "Beef."
Her smile was too happy looking, forcing me to look away. "Perfect! It'll only be a few minutes!"
I nodded slowly, watching her bounce out of the room. Hm, kinda creepy looking on that woman. I've only ever seen Naruto walk like that and it suited him with his childish personality, but on a grown woman? Very weird.
I sighed and settled into a comfortable position, my eyes closing in content, let's leave the thinking for later.
"Brat!"
I snapped my eyes open and shot up, my heart racing. Ibiki-sensei stood by the bed, gazing down with a harsh grin. A cold bowl of soup sat on the counter along with a glass of water, small melted ice cubes steadily floating around.
