Chapter 10

Lilly's POV

After the movie everyone left to their rooms, I went to mine but never went to sleep

I was up reading John Green's Paper Towns, I already watched the movie but I like reading

There was a small knock on my door "come in" I say looking up to see Ethan walking in and closing the door behind him

"I can't really sleep, I saw your light on and thought you couldn't either" he says

"Yeah, i was just reading" I say

"What?" He asked sitting on my bed

"Paper Towns by John Green" I say marking my spot and closing the book

"I didn't take you as a bookworm" he says

"I'm not really, I think it can be relaxing sometimes" I say

"So why can't you sleep?" I asked

"I have a lot on my mind" he says

"Like what?" I asked

He looked down obviously not wanting to ask my question I apologize immediately noticing I overstepped the line

"You don't have to tell me, if you don't want" I say

"Yeah, I just don't like talking about it but thanks for understanding" he says

"No problem, I understand I have things on my mind that I don't like to talk about" I say

"What's with you?" He asked with a smile

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Your like a girl, but then you pull something else out of a hat that I never expected to come from you" he says

"Then what did you expect?" I asked

"I don't know, when my mom first told me about you, I thought you were a spoiled little brat from California" he says making me laugh

"But then I saw you and I was wrong you definitely shy as a person and your personality is outgoing" Ethan says

I chuckled "what about me?" He asked

"What?" I asked

"What did you think about me?" He asked

I laughed again "um I don't know um when I first saw you, you seems like a talkative douche" I joked

"I'm serious" Ethan says smiling

"Okay um you looked nice and kind and I wasn't wrong at all" I say

He smiled making me smile

We stayed up talking and laughing and basically enjoying each other company
