Chapter 9

Catara POV

After cristal said that he looked shocked he took the phone from cristal and told her to go play, it's like he didn't want Cristal there while he was talking.

Ricardo: Catara the bathroom is right across the wall go try on the first dress.

He was trying to get me out of the room too, I did as he said and went to put on the dress. While I was getting out of the bathroom I overhead him talking on the phone. He sounded pissed

Ricardo: Why are you calling? U remember the last time we talk, I bet you don't because it was 4 years ago. You lucky Cristal is your daughter too because it wasn't for her we would never talk. I'll let you talk to Cristal later I'm busy.

After he said that he hanged up and turned around and saw me. Then he yelled

Ricardo : How long Have You been staying there?
Catara : A while.
Ricardo: How much did you hear?
Catara : Most of it.

He took the vase that was on living room table to slam it but I stopped him.

Catara : No don't do it.
Ricardo: Move
Catara : Think about Cristal you don't want her to see you do that do you?
He looked at me for a while and sighed then he put the vase down and sat on the couch. I sate next to him  and put hand on his lap and rubbed it and said

Catara : It's going to be okay.
He looked at me I could see the pain in his eyes. If you don't know him you would think he has everything but he doesn't. I wanted to hug him but I was scared that I would have another vision but I did anyways and for the first time I felt safe in a men's arms.

Ricardo POV

When she hugged me I felt so relaxed and I forgot about all my problems there was only one person who could make me feel like that but for some reason she made me feel like that too. After a while she pulled away.

Catara : Do you still want me to try on the other dresses.
Ricardo: No it's fine I'll just send it to the designers they'll do whatever Needs to be done.
Catara : So I can leave
Ricardo: Yeah.

Catara POV

I went and said bye to Cristal she gave me a big hug and asked me when will I come over again. When she said that I looked at Ricardo he looked away. Then I said

Catara : If your dad let me I can come tomorrow.
Cristal: Dad can she come pleasee?
Ricardo: If she wants to she can.
Cristal: yay

Cristal skipped her way to her room then Ricardo said

Ricardo : Come on I'll take you home.
Catara : You gonna leave her by herself?
Ricardo: She'll be fine, there are cameras all over the house and alarm systems plus there are security guards at the gate.
Catara : Why don't you get her a nanny?
Ricardo: I did but she always drive them away, she said she doesn't want one.
Catara : Oh
He took me home then he Left.

5 hours later.

Ricardo POV

It was around midnight and I couldn't sleep, I couldn't take my mind off Catara for some reason. I wanted to call but I was to argurent to do it. But then my phone ringed.

Ricardo : Hello
Catara : Hey

As soon as I heard her voice I smiled to my self. I didn't want her to know that I was happy to hear her voice so I kept cool.

Ricardo : oh it's you
Catara : wow I know I'm not your favorite person but really. Anyways Don't worry I just wanted to say goodnight to Cristal.
Ricardo: No it's not that I was expecting an important call I thought it was that person.
Catara : oh okay, can I say goodnight to Cristal?
Ricardo: Yeah let me call her.
Cristal: Hi catara
Catara : Hi sweetie were you sleeping.
Cristal: No, I was about to.
Catara : I just wanted to say goodnight.

Ricardo POV

I watched Cristal talk with catara, her face had this happy expression I've never seen her that Happy before.

Cristal: Goodnight catara
Catara : Goodnight sweetie.

After they said goodnight Cristal went to bed.

Catara : her voice is so cute.
Ricardo: I Know
Catara : Anyways goodnight.
Ricardo: Are you still coming tomorrow?
Catara: Yeah why?

Ricardo : I'll pick you up.
Catara : No I'ma come by myself.
Ricardo: Fine
Catara: night
Ricardo: Night
