it was still dark out. pitch dark.
"three hours and twenty nine minutes. that's how much longer we have to wait." the young girl mumbled, half informing him and half reassuring herself. "that isn't too long, right?"
"no, not too long. we can make it!" he smiled at her.
it was silent for a moment.
"can you promise me something, jeongin?"
"it depends. what is it?" he asked. she just now realized, he tilts his head a lot.
"after this thing ends, you won't leave me, right?"
he didn't respond. to be honest, he was hurt by this question. he wanted to say he loved her too much, he wanted to say that even if the world was ending he'd spend it with her.
"no, i promise."
that was it. he only said a simple 'no, i promise.' in his mind, he thought that that was the exact same as saying no thank you or saying no please.
but, either way he said it he wouldn't take it back.
why?
it was the way her face lit up. he didn't want to see her mood drop down.
no. not in any way would he make that possible.
no. not in any way would she be feeling awful.
no. not when he was around.
