"if you had just kept your mouth closed we wouldnt be in this mess"i mummble pulling at my hands tied together with rope
"shut up girl"one of the telemarines says
i groan and slump down behind them against the front of the small 2 person boat with 4 people on it well not really 4.trumpkin is really half a person because of how small he is aswell as he is technically a dwarf.nearlly a day ago right after i yelled after edmund i was immedietly thrown into narnia in the middle fo the woods.i ran into tumpkin walking around and immedietly joined him on his voyage into town to steal food.when we were stealing the food he tripped over a vase and the telemarines came running capturing us.i cant really blame him though because so far we have been held in a cell and beaten for answers.
"wont stop straing"one of our captors says i laugh bitterly i hope so
"so dont look"the other one says sarcastically
"heres far enough"
i shudder and watch as the man infront of me stands up and grabs tumpkins legs the other stands and grabs his arms.panicking slightly i strugggle against my ropes but cant move except for speaking.i grunt and push harder against my ropes trying to reach the men to kick them over or something.suddenly something hits the side of the boat hard i jump and look down to see an arrow sticking out of the wood
"drop him"a female voice yells
"no dont drop him dont"i yell but they throw him into the water next to the boat
i yell tumpkins name pulling on my ropes but its still no use i crawl over to the side of the boat looking down into the water.suddenly someone dives into the water followed by another swimming towards us.i jump back slightly as edmunds beautiful face pops out of the water and he climbs into the boat turnign to look at me.
"are you allright?"he asks slightly nervous his voice wavering
"im fine can you get these ropes of me"i ask moving my arms to get his attention
"yes sorry"he mutters unting them
i check down at the water and see tumpkin being pulled to the sand with peter holding onto his body.sighing in relief i turn back to edmund who is paddling us toward the shore where i can see susan and lucy waiting.as we pull up to the sand i stand up to climb out put edmund holds out his hand.i smile my heart skipping a beat before grabbing his hand and climbing onto shore he climbs of behind me.
"hello"i great them walking over to tumpkin
lucy neels down beside him and pulls out her knife i feel my eyes widen aswell as tumpkins but relax when she cuts his ropes.he spits our water rolling onto his front i touch his shoulder gently but pull back when he shruggs me of.i help him stand up and look into his eyes noticing his exploding anger inside of him.
"drop him...thats the best you can come up with?"he demands glaring at susan
"a simple thank you would surfice"susan says sarcastically
"tumpkin they saved us be nice"i say catching edmunds gaze he flushes bright red
"they were doing fine drowning us on there own"tumpkin points toward the water
"maybe we should have let them"peter mutters
"why were they trying to kill you anway?"lucy asks softly i smile at her
