Wednesday came and it was finally Luke's twentieth birthday, he was sat at home opening gifts from his family and friends when the doorbell rang. His mum was the one to go answer the door, leaving Luke to look through his cards, the one from his Aunt Lea had two hundred dollars in it.

Luke looked up when his mum came back in to the living room, but Reece was behind her with a wrapped up box in his hand. "Oh hey." Luke smiled softly.

"Hello birthday boy." Reece grinned, he placed the box on the sofa beside Luke. "I listened to your complaining and got you something I knew you wanted."

"Really?" Luke asked, the blond then started to rip the paper off the box, and there was a brand new PS4, Luke looked up at Reece in surprise. "Uh, Reece this is too much."

"It's not at all." Reece said, "you said your console was slow and you wanted an upgrade, so I got you one, and you've helped me a lot the last week, so you deserved it."

Luke smiled, then stood up quickly and hugged Reece tightly, "thank you."

"There's also some games in the box, and open your card too." Reece added, pulling away from the hug.

Luke saw the pink enveloped card was tucked inside the present, so Luke opened it seeing the number twenty on the cover and then inside was a hundred dollar bill, along with a message that said: Luke, happy birthday and thank you for helping me so much since I moved here, I appreciate it greatly. Love Reece.

"It's for tonight, don't spend it all in one place." Reece laughed.

"Thank you," Luke said and kissed Reece's cheek quickly.

"You're welcome, now I gotta head to work so have a good day, don't turn up at the hospital unexpectedly please." Reeve joked, before Liz walked him back out of the house. Luke smiled to himself and glanced at the present, he hadn't expected that off of Reece.

Liz came back in, "he's nice." She said, a soft teasing smile at Luke.

Luke hummed, "He is."

"Are you gonna ask him out?" She asked.

"Probably not." Luke shrugged, sitting down again and picking up his gift and putting it on his lap.

"But I told you to when you turned twenty?" She asked, confusion clear on her face.

Luke sighed, "he's shown no interest in me, maybe if he did then I would."

"He just brought you a game console." She huffed, "Fine I'll go make your birthday breakfast." She said and left to the kitchen.

Andy then came down, then frowned at the gift in Luke's lap, "who got you that?" He asked, knowing his son had complained about his current one.

"Reece did." Luke smiled, he was sure his dad knew about his crush on Reece too. "He said because I helped him a lot recently."

"Oh that's nice of him."

A few hours later, Luke drove his friends to Sydney, Michael and Calum were in the back with Ashton in the front by Luke's side. "But like surely he must like you to spend what, three hundred dollars on you for your birthday?" Ashton asked. "Like if someone spent that much on me I'd think they'd wanna fuck me too."

"He's not shown signs." Luke retorted.

"Oh shut up he likes you." Calum said, "there's no way he doesn't."
