Team Kits

"Agents!" Charlies called through the cafeteria. "The new team kits just arrived."

In an incredible din, the 20 agents stood up and walked to the huge room they used for debriefs.
They had been waiting for those kits for months, since the new teams were formed actually. They were about to discover their new jacket, training gear, belt and special equipment. Each team had their speciality and thus a specific color or pattern. It wasn't that useful but could sometimes allow them to recognize the medical team or a agent during a mission.

Once everyone was in the room, each team director brought a box. They were all smiling, impatient to see the reaction of their agents. It was always a special moment : a way to welcome the new agents to their respective team and a way to start the year united.

"Alright. Who should start?" Christian asked.

"I made a list actually." Charlie said. "This way, you have no reason to fight. An algorithm decided for me. This is a random order."

"I can't wait to see how the Mercedes kit will look." Lewis exclaimed happily.

"Why?" Asked Daniel.

"They've been teasing the new colors for days."  Valtteri answered.

"Black and blue. Amazing." Lewis added.

"You abandoned silver?" Sebastian asked, surprised.

"Yeah, silver is so last season..." The Brit said, shaking his head.

"Okay, boys!" Charlie called them. "Let's start with Haas."

Kevin and Romain opened their box. They pulled out a black vest with golden lines along the sleeves, collar and zipper.

"This is nice!" Romain said happily.

"It is! Different than last year. This is good." Kevin nodded before putting the jacket on.

The rest of their stuff matched the vest, all black and  gold.

"Now, Williams."

Robert and George unfolded the white and blue jacket. The two colors were fading in a nice gradient.

"Very different from last year too." Robert smiled.

"I really like it!" George answered.

"Toro Rosso"

Daniil and Alexander's vests were bright blue with red and silver accents.

"That's identical to last season's right?" Daniil asked.

Pierre nodded.

"Yeah, not very original but that's good." Alexander said.

"Renault"

"Yeah that's almost the same too." Nico noted once he'd unfolded the black and yellow vest.

"How original." Lewis said sarcastically.

"Said the guy who had the exact same kit for at least 5 years." Sergio chuckled.

"But we're changing that this year!" Lewis answered happily.

"Do I suit yellow?" Daniel asked, once he'd put the vest on.

"You suit everything anyway." Nico answered, rolling his eyes.

"Oh thank you my princess!" Daniel laughed.

"Stop calling me that!" Nico said, falsely angry.

"You suit yellow too." Daniel answered with a smile.

Nico smiled back. They just looked at the other for a while.
