In the blink of an eye Noah appears in God's office, unlike the space in which he always resides when a mission ends, the office is a more colorful room. On one side you can see a bookcase full of tomes that are written in a language that he does not recognize, it is probably a dialect that only the gods know, since with his thousands of years of experience, Noah has mastered hundreds of dialects, as well as multiple skills; martial arts, plastic arts and numerous sciences. On the other side of the room several holograms of spheres, planets, to be more precise, can be seen. God noticed Noah's interest in the globes, as he continued to stand at the entrance without moving to the chair in front of the desk where he told him to take a seat. "These are the different worlds that contain the nuclei, from here you can observe and control what happens in each one," he explained. Noah nodded and finally decided to sit in the chair to face God. He could not help but assess how odd this situation was, how many people can say that they went to complain with God to his office? The answer is: nobody.
God reclines on his desk examining Noah meticulously, he did not understand why, but he finds the boy fascinating. "God..."
"Don't call me God, my name is Gabriel", he interrupts him.
Noah sighs before speaking again. "Gabriel, all I want is a normal life, without doing missions, without scores, without rewards, without punishment, without having to become another person. I want to live my life as I did before I died," he went straight to the point.
Gabriel reflected a few seconds before speaking again with his emotionless voice. This is something that was very disturbing to Noah, the man in front of him did not shift gestures as if he had facial paralysis, and his exotic golden black eyes lacked the radiance that reaches the eyes of the living, it was as if those eyes were already dead. Maybe this person only stayed alive because he had no other choice. Maybe that is the issue, after all, Gabriel is God, the life of the gods is almost infinite, after so many years one loses its raison d'être, especially when boredom and nonsense flourish. The same thing was happening to Noah, repeating the same routine for millennia and millennia, of course that will drive anyone crazy. "There is a way to stop the activity of the systems, but I can't be the one to do it," he said at last. Before Noah could sing victory, Gabriel continued "However, if we stop the system, I won't have anything better to do. Why should I turn it off just because a simple host asks me to do it? What can you offer me in return? "
Any hope that Noah had of altering his destiny vanished. "I don't know," he bowed in defeat. For the first time, Gabriel swapped the expression on his icy face. A small smile barely detectable, however, it wasn't shown in his eyes.
"Maybe you do have something to offer me," he suggested to the boy who had given up. This was disappointing, as he anticipated that Noah would be the stubborn kind of guy that doesn't stop until he achieves his goal. Noah raised his head and stared at him with renewed hope, the shine that had gone out dimmed with greater intensity. Gabriel slid his finger over the boy's cheek and stopped on the boy's chin, lifting his chin to look him directly in the eyes. "There is a creature right in front of me that I find more interesting than the system", Noah is perplexed when he understands what he is referring to. "If you were willing to give yourself to me completely maybe I could consider turning off the system. But you do know what that implies, right? You must be entirely committed to me. "
"I don't know".
"We can reach an arrangement that is favorable for both of us, think about it."
Noah shakes his head, "No, it's okay. I agree". Everything is preferable than returning to the system, even if he had to become the slave of this god, at least his life would be different. Also, Gabriel does not seem like the kind of person who relishes in harming others. Once Noah gave his consent, Gabriel made a contract appear in his hand, which is nothing special for either of them, after living so long one can accept that things like magic exist.
