I sat down brushing my hands together, while we were waiting for the manager of the campus's blog to finish reading our proposed post. It's all up to him now, wither he will agree to post it or not. I scanned his face trying to look for some sort of reaction, but there was none. I looked at Joe who sat next to me. He shook his head and lifted his shoulder in a half shrug.
"Humm..." The manager said.
"I have an idea." I said.
I took a sneak peak at the surroundings and told them that it's better if we discuss this somewhere else. We went to the library, where we found a perfect spot and sat down on the floor. Indeed I had an idea, but it was too scattered to make sense, yet once I started explaining everything came together.
I remembered the other day. When I saw that poster by the campus's blog, they were looking for a guest post. I also remembered everyone's anger about the department choosing to handle this privately. Few days later, no one seemed to care which really bothered me. People just came for the drama and they eventually started to fade away. After all, what was real is that it was a small group's problem, those whom their paintings got stolen. That's why I thought that we should give this more publicity as a first step. The blog's popularity could really help us. I myself have no idea why they didn't step in yet, but if we pushed them a bit this might get us somewhere.
"If more people got to know about this from a more reliable source, I think the department will be pressured to find a solution to this as fast as they can." I finished explaining my idea to the two boys who were sitting in front of me focused on what I was saying. They nodded and Joe said that it's true the campus's blog has a really big audience.
"They are really afraid of publicity and that's exactly what we will use against them." Noah said smirking.
I tilted my head thinking and said "I just don't understand why the blog didn't say anything about this yet?"
"Oh I have a friend who is in the blog team, he said that everyone is afraid of taking responsibility for writing anything, especially now that there's no prove of anything." Noah answered, and then he added "Honestly that's exactly why I like your idea, because we don't have anything to lose if we wrote a guest post."
"Neither will they have a problem, because we will be taking the responsibility not the blog." Joe agreed.
I nodded. It's true; it's really different if you were an insider in the blogs world, because you can't just write anything it may damage your reputation for spreading inaccurate news.
"It's really ironic that as long as it's a guest post everything is ok." I said, we laughed briefly then Noah got up and said "Ok guys, we really can't risk losing at this guest post's competition, so it's time to use my specialties." he smirked and raised his eyebrow, we both looked at him narrowing our eyes.
"Didn't I just tell you guys?! I have an insider in the blog; I will try to convince him to help us post this as soon as possible." He said folding his arms.
After the discussion, I went home early that day to our empty apartment Diana told me she had tennis training, I barely saw her. Maybe there's a tennis tournament coming soon, I wasn't really sure.
I created a group and added Joe and Noah after we exchanged our numbers earlier; being bad with naming things the group ended up with the lame name "Post on the blog!" At that time I had no idea about the many times this name will change.
I made myself a cup of coffee and took the book that I was reading from the round table in the living room. I then went out to the small balcony. Fall nights are absolutely my favorite. I spent quite the time looking for the perfect playlist and started to read through the book. Only to be disturbed by a phone call minutes later. I smiled seeing the caller's name "Dad".
