Chapter 2.5: Memories

When Manny opened his eyes, he found himself in a dark void. He looked around him. He was underneath a spotlight sitting on a checkered floor. He stood up on his feet.

"H-hello?" He called out. But nobody answered. He waked around the mysterious place, the light following him. His footsteps echoed through the air. It seemed to be an endless maze. "Am I dead?" he asked seemingly to nobody.

"Nope." an eerie voice said, making Manny jump a bit. He looked around for the source of the voice. But he seemed to be by himself. He began to panic a bit.

"Who's there? Where are you? Show yourself!" He orders the voice.

"Look behind you, loser." The voice said.

He obliged and looked behind him. There he found a mysterious figure who looked like him. Except his skin was a pitch black and his eyes were red. His pupils were similar to a cats. His hair was longer and was crimson red. Also his overalls looked tattered and old.

"Who or what are you?" Manny asked the figure. The figure got closer to him.

"My name is Danny. I'm you. At least a part of you." Dannh replies. Manny looked confused as Danny walked up to him. "Mmm~ You're cute~" He grinned.

"Wh-What?!" Manny said, blushing madly. Danny giggled at his reaction.

"PFFT- HAHAHA! Omg are you blushing?" Danny teased.

"Wha-? N-No! SHUT UP!" Manny yelled, covering his face. Danny grabbed Manny by his waist and brought him close.

"Hehehe~ Yes you are~ Look how red your pretty, little face is~" Danny cooed.

"B-Back off!" Manny pushed him away.

"Ugh Fine! But you're really missing out~" Danny rolled his eyes.

"We just met, dumbass!" Manny shouted.

"Technically, we've been together for 10 years, sooooo~" Danny trailed off. Manny huffed.

"Where am I?" Manny asked him.

"You're dreaming." Danny told Manny.

"Then why are you here?" He asks Danny.

"I'm always been in your head." He said. "We're connected. I can feel your physical and emotional pain."

"So...you know about what happened...?" Manny asked. Danny froze up a little and nodded sadly.
