"Nightshade get over here!" Violetnight shouted to her.

"Sorry, sorry, I'm coming!" Nightshade apologized

"Did you need something?" she asked.

"Yes! You were told to be on the dawn patrol, remember?" Violetnight sharply mewed.

"Oh yeah that's right, sorry." she apologized again.

"Sorry doesn't check the boarders, now let's go. Lionpounce and Crowclaw are waiting for us at the edge of camp." Violetnight growled. When Nightshade and Violetnight were over there, Lionpounce and Crowclaw were waiting.

"How long were you two waiting?" She asked.

"Longer than we should have, we were just about to leave without you." Crowclaw growled.

As they were padding through the lush green forest, Violetnight whispered, "you don't have a very good reputation as it is, with you being Half-Clan and all, but you don't have to make it worse by being late for everything."

"I know, I know, but I think it's mouse-brained that all because my father is in RiverClan I get judged for everything. It's not my fault my mother decided to have kits with a RiverClan tom!" Nightshade hissed through her breath.

"It's against the warrior-code you know, I'm honestly surprised that StarClan was willing to let Darkstar keep his nine lives, even though he broke the code," Violetnight whispered back, as they were all padding through the forest.

Nightshade considered Violetnight a friend, mainly because she was some what nice to her. But the other cats, just didn't like her. She was told about what had happened to her real mother, when she was still just a kit. There were eight cats in total that cared about her. Most of which were related to her, the only cat that cared for her they wasn't related to her, was Violetnight.

Violetnight was the first friend she had ever had, and is the only friend she has. When Nightshade was an apprentice all the other apprentices would bully her, but then one time Violetnight stepped up for her, and stopped them. So that's when she stopped being the shy cat she once was, and became the spunky she-cat she is now. But now the cats that once bullied her, just ignore her now.

"Which boarders should we check?" Nightshade asked.

"How about Snakerocks?" Violetnight suggested.

"Sure you and Nightshade can go check over there while Lionpounce and I go check by the OwlTree." Crowclaw mewed.

"Sounds good." Lionpounce agreed.

"What? Are you and Lionpounce scared that a big snake will go up and bite you?" Violetnight taunted.

"No, I just think it's useless to have four cats at once checking one boarder." Crowclaw mewed calmly.

"Sure, sure, come on, Nightshade, lets go check by Snakerocks, where the big strong toms were too scared to go." Violetnight rolled her eyes.

"Okay, lets go" Nightshade mewed while going to go lead the way.

When they got there, she smelled something odd. "Violetnight, someone has been here and the scent is fresh." Nightshade warned.

"It doesn't smell like Clan cat either, lets go investigate." Violetnight mewed to her.

"With only two cats? It could be something dangerous." Nightshade mewed cautiously.

"It's just rouges, what do we need to worry about?" Violetnight asked.

"Nothing I guess, we do know a lot more battle moves than they do anyway," Nightshade mewed.

"Looks like the perfect place to let out the Blood-Vipers, they can't do anything to effect us anyway. We've already been effected so it would only hurt a little." A white tom mewed.
