Lucy's POV:
I was separated from everybody else. Searching for anything that may help, but there was no such luck. For miles and miles, I can only see trees and rocks! On the upside, the forest was literally a giant dessert, so food wasn't going to be a problem. Even though I've eaten the chocolate trees, I still can't seem to wrap my mind around the fact that the entire forest is made of chocolate. The candy flower field, too. I have no complaints, but it didn't mean I wanted to stay here forever!
I peered above and below rocks, in front of and behind trees. Being aware of the dangers of being alone, I constantly checked over my shoulders to make sure everyone else was nearby. I didn't want to imagine myself getting lost because that was officially my newly found nightmare. There were no people and no animals here. This giant forest seemed to run on and on into yonder. I walked around more, but closer to the others because my overactive imagination was running wild. I noticed something was strange when my face looked into the sky. The sun was not bright enough. Of course, it was bright, but it was dimmer than the one we have in Earthland.
Happy had joined me since he didn't find anything useful. I was walking next to him when something in the corner of my eyes caught my attention. Just a couple feet to the left was a small object that stood out from the thick layers of grass. My eyes were caught in its direction, then my legs went numb. They carried themselves towards the object. As I stood before it, the shape and color of it entranced me and the air around it drew me in. My numb legs gave out and before I knew it, I was on my knees. My palms were flat on the grass. When I looked around me, Happy was gone. He had flown off somewhere. After searching for a couple of minutes I finally found him. He was walking around the base of a huge tree. I watched as he stumbled on one of the roots. I let out a light chuckle. My attention returned to the small object. I didn't want to lay my hands on it since something might pop out. I wasn't sure what to do, so I decided to call Happy over to help me.
I turned my head to where he was standing before, but he was gone. My head began turning back and forth in a hurry to find him. When my eyes were locked on a part of the forest without many tall trees, I saw him in one of the lower branches. He was looking along the branch. I waved urgently and yelled, "Hey, Happy! Get over here, quickly! You have to check this out!" His cat ears perked up and he flew my way.
He was a couple of meters away from where I was squatting. He asked with a sarcastic tone in his voice, "Lucy. Did you find something useful once in your life?" I glared at him, but nodded, anyways. He asked, "What'd you find over there." I pointed to the object hidden in the grass and rushed him to hurry.
"I'm not sure exactly what it is, but it seems far too strange. I mean I know this entire place is weird as heck, but this object here stands out, " I replied. He was still a couple of meters away from me when he stopped midflight.
He tilted his head in confusion. He asked, "What do you mean it stands out?"
"Well, the thing is, the space around it has a mysterious pressure. It's like a magnetic field. When you get closer, your legs begin to feel numb. They give out and then, you're on your hands and knees. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what it is." I told him. I really didn't understand it, either.
He gave me a weird look and I could tell he thought I had gone crazy. I knew he was going to make fun of me for how crazy I sounded. Then, I got a triumphant feeling in my stomach. As he flew closer to the object, his eyes went wide. He said, "Lucy, you're right! I'm not even moving my wings, yet, I'm still moving. It's like my wings are moving by itself." I felt relieved because that proved that it did feel like a magnet and I wasn't going delusional. It really did pull people closer to it.
Happy and I were on our knees and staring hard at the thing. Happy leaned forward until his face was directly above the object. He picked it up and we observed it. It was in the shape of a coin. It had a golden coating. On one side there was a beautiful etching of three doves flying. On the other side was a water lily. It looked like something that would be hidden away, deep in ancient ruins, but it was laying out in the open. Of course, we happened to find it. Ever since I joined Fairy Tail, a bunch of abnormal and freaky events has occurred. The one we're stuck in is probably ranked in my top 10 "Abnormal Occurrences Since Joining Fairy Tail".
As the two of us were studying the coin, a sudden gleam of golden-light emerged. A glowing ring surrounded us and formed a circle on the ground, then there was a tingle in our feet. Both of us, simultaneously, looked downwards. The weird tingle began to rise in our bodies until we felt a shock. It was a painful shock. Like we were hit full power by a storm of lightning.
The sound of the blast caused the others to rush over to us.
"WHAT IN THE WORLD WAS THAT!?" Carla yelled. She was flying towards us with a worried look on her face. The others were close behind her.
Natsu shouted, "Did something happen!? Did you guys find anything that may give us a hint!?" Happy pointed to the coin he was holding and everybody stopped moving. They were looking at the coin. All of them began moving closer at the same time, and their eyes and mouths went wide. I already knew they were beginning to feel the magnetic force that Happy and I had felt earlier. I watched them get closer, then noticed Erza. Unlike the others, she wasn't moving she was just standing in place.
Wendy said, "My legs feel like they are moving by themselves."
The others, except Erza, nodded. Now this proved that the magnetic field Happy and I felt before.
"I don't feel it. Are you guys sure that your legs are moving by themsleves?" Erza questioned. She seemed more confused even though she wasn't experiencing it.
Gray asked Erza, "Oh come on! Erza, you don't feel that pressure pulling you closer to that coin in Happy's hands. Or paws?" She shook her head a 'no' and, on her own, walked closer to look at the coin.
Then, the mysterious tingle began to numb up my body again. I knew what was in store for all of us. I closed my eyes and waited a few seconds, then the electric shock came. I could hear all of them yell. I opened my eyes after the power stun. Everybody else had felt it, too. Everyone, except Erza. She was standing in front of us, with one hand on her hips, looking like she thought we were going pyscho. I can't believe she didn't feel the magnetic pressure or the shock. Something was strange and I wanted to know what it was, but I didn't want to waste my time on it all.
Erza's POV:
Natsu, Gray, Lucy, Wendy, Happy, and Carla were all struck by some sort of electricity. All of them felt it, when they were standing near the golden coin. I on the other hand, who was also near the coin, didn't feel anything. They also said that they felt like their legs were being pulled at. I wonder if it's the coin that's causing it.
I was in deep thought. Suddenly I recalled something. Shuji! He said he didn't know magic existed and that magic never occurred in this world. The whole candy world was always here, so it wasn't exactly magic. The coin wasn't a part of the world. So, then, where was the lightning coming from?
I can't help, but feel nervous. I needed someone to explain to me because I was going to go nuts.
I didn't know what it was, but as I was pondering, I felt a male hand on mine. Usually, I would break away, but this time I didn't. I grabbed tighter because I felt safe and relieved. His fingers intangled in mine, but I knew it was just a piece of my imagination. Although, it felt so real and I wanted it to be real. A burst of calming sensation rushed through my body and my mind felt clearer. I didn't know what it was, but it felt nice.
It was when Wendy called me, that the feeling of the imaginary hand slipped away. I was caught off guard when it disappeared so quickly. Nonetheless, it had calmed me down and the knot, deep in my stoamch, was untangled.
I had a feeling that the hand belonged to the person that talked to me in my head before. His hands felt like his deep and rich voice. His touch was soft, yet, protecting. For some strange reason his touch, felt like it had the emotions of the entire galaxy mixed into one hand hold. That became another reason I decided to go all the way in finding him.
