"What's wrong Ellie, do you want to talk about it?"
"I really hate her." I think I may of have made her cry even more.
"Who, and why?" I ask.
She looks up to me. She looks stunning even when she's crying. I can sense the pain that she's going through and I feel like I've asked too many questions . " Hey let's eat lunch together and you'll tell me when you're ready." She nods and I help her up. I text Will. * hey I won't be joining you for lunch*. Honestly, I think he invited me to his table just because he felt bad for me so I'm sure he won't mind.
Ellie and I go outside, there is a huge football field and right after we walk passed it, there are trees who are shading the spot that we took place on the grass. We eat our lunches in silence, not an awkward one, a peaceful one. She finally decides to break it.
" I hate that she can't be happy for me." She lies down on her back, looking to the baby blue sky, I lie next to her. " You probably haven't met her yet but her name is Tara and she basically the biggest bitch I ever met. We've been best friends since kindergarten I've never had the guts to leave her because she has issues and it would be like betrayal. Everyone in our grade is kind of scared and intimidated by her. Plus, she literally gets everything she wants including boys."
Silence.
"You know the guy I was on a date with yesterday, how did you know him?" She asks.
" He's my cousin's friend" I answer.
"And who is your cousin?"
" William O'Connor"
" No way!! O'Connor is your cousin!!!!" I'm glad she's smiling now. " Your cousin is so hot, but unfortunately he only dates older girls."
I don't approve, unless it's true love.
" My aunt told me he has a girlfriend."
" Yeah, I think she's a college girl."
" So what happened with Tara?" I ask, I change the subject.
"She heard about my date with Sterling yesterday and lost her shit. She's so weird, she started to scream after me, something about stealing her "mans". I don't get it, she recently told me that she was interested in someone else." Tara sounds horrible. "This morning, there was at least 100 chewed gum stuck on my locker. The janitor found out and forced me to scrape the gum off in front of everyone!" She let's out a sob. " Do you know how embarrassing that is?" She's full on crying.
If only she knew what embarrassing actually is.

Last period! Chemistry.
I arrive late to my class. Thankfully the teacher welcomes me.
" You must be Charlotte, take a seat right there." The teacher points to an empty chair next to someone. I listen carefully to the instructions that the teacher is giving and once he's done, he says, "Your lab partner will be the person sitting next to you, as usual."
I finish writing my notes while introducing myself to the person next to me. " Hey I'm—"
" I know, Charlotte?" I look up.
" I'm Charles it's nice to meet you." Ha you thought it would be mr. KIA
Charles is very smart, he is literally doing all the work for me. And now he's asking me to do something for him.
" Charlotte can you go rinse this for me with cold water?" I walk to the sink who is at the other end of the class.I put the tools that Charles asked me to rinse under the cold water. When I'm done, I take the tools and turn around to find myself bumping into someone and causing them to drop their tools." I'm so sorry about that!" I squat down to pick them up.
" I think I heard that before ." What? I look up it's Mr. KIA and he is smirking!!! I'm still mad at him so I dramatically let go of all the tools I picked up for him and join Charles at our desks.

At the end of the day
Ellie is talking to me about Tara but I'm not listening, my focus is on the three guys walking down the halls as if it was a runway. Mr. KIA is walking in the middle, he has Chase and Sterling by his sides. They are literally so perfect, they could be Calvin Klein models if they wanted to, I know I haven't seen them shirtless but I can only imagine. I want to know more about them so I ask Ellie.
" Well Sterling is the nicest and he has manners which I really appreciate, he had two girlfriends since I can
remember and he is known to be very educated and sweet, but he's mine so don't even think about it." She jokes.
"Then there is Chase, he is a player." I take a look at him and he is winking at a girl who obviously blushes like I did, I mean who wouldn't? "Finally, the one in the middle is the school's biggest jerk. He is by far the smartest and athletic person I know which makes him pretty confident. He's not a bully or anything, he's just rude and selfish. Girls love him, probably for his looks."
" What's his name?" I ask.
"His name is Warner."
Warner.
" Can I buy you that ice cream I owed you now?"
" Frozen yogurt but sure, Ellie!" I correct her.
We go to Yolo Froyo, I think it's my new favourite place. Omg sorry for the weird name😂

When I get home, Jaden is in the kitchen doing his homework.
" You again!" I shout.
He chuckles."Hello Charlotte."
I drop my bag on the floor and head to the kitchen. " How was your first day?" He says while I pick up an apple. " It was better than I thought it would be?" I take a bite out of my apple.
" And why is that?" He asks. I don't know what to answer, if I tell him it will probably scare him away.
"Well, I... I was expecting...more school work." I answer.
He looks at me with a concentrated face and writes something on his paper."I don't believe that, you don't have to answer now but I'll find out eventually. Goodbye Char, see you tomorrow!" He closes his book and leaves.
