Episode 1 : The Return. Part 1 : Prologue

The Protagonist in this story is ordinary... At first. Dwayne Ajax Wilson was just graduating from High school at the age of 17, when he began considering the options before him; none. Born and raised in an orphanage in Trench City, his parents never wanted him even before the day he first drew breath.

To this day, he has no idea who they are nor has he ever attempted to pursue them, holding onto the fact that they never wanted him to begin with.

Dwayne knows the city like the back of his hand. An amalgam of sub-urban slums and apartments, Trench City reeked of opportunity and oppression. On one side, was Cactus Hills where most of the elite lived in their mansions, occasionally frequenting the nearby corporate district of Redwood Ave. Then on the other side of town stood the ghettos of Cactus Valley. Where crime and chaos ran rampant and very often leaked into the posh side of town, allowing Cactus Hills and Redwood Avenue residents a taste of degeneracy - not that the elites didn't have their own calibre of such going-ons on their side of the city.

Nevertheless, up until finishing high school Dwayne always found a way to survive despite the sour deck of cards he'd been dealt. His resourcefulness and constantly-evolving "street smarts" got him into places most youths could only dream of getting into. It also allowed him a decent stream of pocket money. Whether it was flipping trading cards (eg. Baseball cards, Pokémon, etc.) or the monthly cook'n'bake sale he hosted at the local YMCA, Dwayne had the spirit of the hustle in his blood.

Soon, Dwayne would turn 18 and the orphanage would either hire him as a worker or he'd have to leave to find work elsewhere. Unable to foresee a consistent future in his small businesses, Wilson took on the most realistically sustainable option he could think of at the time; Joining the US Army.

Through shit and sweat, Dwayne made little progress in his career as a soldier. He was under-appreciated, and underestimated. Despite being a fine specimen of athleticism and leadership, he was only so great in the Trench. Upon signing up for the Army, he was shocked to find so many high achievers like himself.

Having lost his edge due to the unfamiliar nature of competition he'd never encountered before, Dwayne began to lose the fire in him that boiled and razed, fuelling his resourcefulness and his strengths.

This was all until he met Fleet.

MI6 Commander Messiah Godfrey Fleet. Born and bred Londoner, Fleet spotted Wilson while the latter was on a visiting tour at the Pentagon. Having friends among Wilson's superiors, Fleet related to Wilson's plight in his need to survive and admired Dwayne's ability to solve the most complex of problems. Fleet would go on to invite Wilson to become an MI6 agent, flying him out to London to start out as a ghost operative for MI6, to work for Fleet who was more concerned with Wilson's talents being put to waste.

Fleet introduced Wilson to two other MI6 agents; fellow newcomers Ali bin Yasin and Fabian. On their first mission; protecting the Kordovian Princess from an assassination attempt, their teamwork and cooperative efforts blew Fleet's expectations into the wind. They even impressed Fleet's superior, then MI6 Director Silas Blade, resulting in Fleet creating a specialized task force with Blade's support out of the 3; Task Force Dynamo

Dwayne, Ali and Fabian would continue aceing every single task and mission Fleet resented upon them. From breaking up an ivory poaching ring in Kenya to sabotaging a military coup in Brazil. But one correlating attribute between all of the missions carried out in Wilson's time in the MI6 would be that the antagonistic Force would always be one step ahead and know exactly who Dwayne is, confiscating him of any chance of an element of surprise.

Task Force Dynamo would propel the MI6's status quo as an intelligence agency when the CIA invites them to collaborate on a mission seeking out the rogue metahuman known as "The Governor" who had taken over the entire island nation of Nauru and sanctioned martial law on it. Task Focre Dynamo would then enlist the aid of a CIA metahuman asset known as "Jones" who would lead Task Force Dynamo with Wilson as his right hand. As it turns out he and the Governor are actually clones created by the same CIA bio-physicist.

Task Force Dynamo would stop the Governor, only for the relationship between the MI6 and CIA to reduce to a meagre  "acquaintanceship" rather than the previously all-out partnership due to the treachery and lies the Governor reveals was exchanged between the 2 agencies. Again, Dwayne realizes that the Governor wasn't really keen on facing his twin but instead was more interested in developing a 'tough-love' friendship with Dwayne.

But their day of reckoning came with the Buraqistan Massacre. Fleet's father, a well-known British diplomat and philanthropist was caught red-handed, having provided funding for a mercenary codenamed "Iapetus".

Both Silas Blade and Fabian were gone within a matter of days. Blade was assassinated at a cafe in Notting Hill, where he was having brunch with his wife. Whereas Fabian simply disappeared into thin air. Gone. From every single record on the planet, audio and visual. Off the grid.

Dwayne, Ali and Fabian failed to apprehend Iapetus, but they successfully placed Baron Fleet in cuffs, as he now spends his days in his cell at Fort Kent, in Washington D.C. Having become a War Criminal, his case was handed over to the CIA. Right before Baron was locked up at Fort Kent, he begged his son to inform Dwayne of the secrets he has been hiding from him to which Messiah reams him and dismisses his pleas.

When Dwayne asks Fleet what his father meant by it, Messiah simply says that now is not the time.

Now gaining the status of War Heroes, Messiah, Dwayne and Ali were offered promotions to their MI6 positions. Messiah from Commander to Chief Commander, and Dwayne and Ali whom had climbed up the ladder through Private, Specialist and Lieutenant, now being offered to become Commanders.

Dwayne and Ali rejected their promotions and chose to retire from the MI6. After a total of 13 years working for the US Army and MI6 collectively, Dwayne returned to Trench City, with Ali following for a fresh start.

Messiah on the other hand asked his childhood best friend Nora-Heather Abel out to dinner, and confessed his romantic feelings for her. Alas, his efforts were to no avail as she rejected him indefinitely.

With this horrendous rejection, Messiah fell into a state of depression, drinking and drugs. While Dwayne and Ali themselves were in no better condition. They had abandoned the only outlet that gave them purpose, and were now loitering, jaywalking through life with no goals or ambition in sight.

But all this sombreity would come to an end. As destiny ushers in a new phase in their lives.....
