Episode 3 : Deception. Part 2 : Colombo
Bandaranaike International Airport, Colombo, Sri Lanka
About half a day had passed since VIRUS landed here. It was basically the next morning already. It took a bit of extra time for Fleet to arrange 2 C-17s to come fetch Dwayne and Ali to head to Washington and the 2nd plane to bring June, Anthony and Baby-Killer back to London.
The 5 of them were seated in the terminal lounge, with Baby-Killer bound in a strait jacket and tied to a rolling trolley. Raees' personnel even put a muzzle on him.
"I'm heading back there. Now." Dwayne informed, and got up from his seat. "I get why Anthony can't come seeing that his left arm isn't moving at all. And I know you're too much of a diligent boy scout to go against Fleet's orders, Ali. What about you? June? I'm sure Arnold would be able to survive on Magna Redd just fine for the past 24 hours. "
"I...." Was all June was able to put in words.
"Say no more. I understand. I was once a dutiful soldier too. " Dwayne interrupted and prepared to leave, just as Raees walked into the lounge to escort VIRUS to their respective planes.
"Let's go. " Raees said, as Anthony got up while Ali pushed Baby-Killer's trolley with June following behind. "What about Wilson? Where is he?"
"He's not coming." Ali answered.
"What? Why??" Raees protested and walked out of the lounge into the general terminal area. Looking through the crowds, he finally spotted Dwayne going on along a travelator leading to the neighboring terminal. "Agent Wilson! Stop!".
Back at the exit of the terminal lounge, Ali, June and Anthony were loading Baby-Killer's trolley onto the buggy that would bring them to the hangar where their planes were waiting for them, when June began having second thoughts. "No. Ali, I need you to go back to London with Anthony and Baby-Killer. I'm heading back to Magna Redd. "
"What? How?"
"I'll chase Dwayne down and go with him. " June explained and got off the buggy.
Back at the neighbouring terminal, Dwayne was about to enter the hangar of that terminal, when Raees got close enough to grab his arm. "Wilson! I'm under strict orders from my superiors to ensure you head to Washington DC as instructed by your Director Fleet!" Jesswaran elaborated.
"I don't care what strict orders you're under. I'm going against my strict orders for the sake of compassion and an abandoned friend!" Dwayne protested.
"That's what my unit is for! You and Agent Bin Yasin are supposed to head to DC while I handle Whittaker's extraction! "
Behind Raees, Dwayne notices June turning a corner and spotting him, as she began walking closer.
From where June stood, she jogged as quickly as she could, her eyes set on Dwayne and Raees, when suddenly a loud gunshot was heard and Dwayne fell to the ground. Airport medical and security personnel rushed to the scene as June froze in shock, petrified in horror at what she jsut witnessed. Looking upwards, she spotted a masked individual holding a sniper rifle depart the scene. Hellhound!!
Hellhound slipped away into a corridor leading to the food court, and into a Janitor's room where the custodian was having her break time and was watching cat videos on her phone.
"Who are you?" She asked, to which Hellhound ignored her and extracted a duffel bag . Opening the duffel bag, he took off his mask without revealing his face to the custodian, and undressed revealing various scars across his entire body. Hellhound changed into a paramedic's outfit and put on a facemask, before walking out of the room with the duffel bag.
He walked ahead and dropped the duffel bag at the post office, passing the cashier a Post-It note containing the address for the duffel bag to be shipped along with a $100 dollar bill.
Hellhound then proceeded to walk down a flight of steps, before driving a medic buggy to where Dwayne's lifeless body laid on the ground. Security officers were attempting to control the crowd as Hellhound arrived at the scene and placed Dwayne on a stretcher before rigging it to the buggy and driving off, while Raees and June albeit unaware of Hellhound's charade, watched the buggy drive off.
