Seto's POV
I groaned, holding my head between my hands. My head hurt like hell, as if an orchestra of steel-drums were pounding away in my skull. Quite annoying, really, how my awakening had to lead to this.
The doctors-much to my discontent- kept checking my temperature, and doing all of those doctor things.
One of the many reasons that I don't like other people. They fret too much about nothing... I woke up from a Coma, so what? Tons of people wake up from Comas every day. What makes my case so different...?
I could hear that girl's voice-another addition on the ever-growing list of people that lined to learn the name of- ring through my head, telling me I’d been out for two months. I mean, that’s sorta a long time, but I’ve heard of people who have been in comas for a hell of a lot longer, that have taken up miraculously. Allthewhile, the doctors and nurses still wouldn't leave me alone. Like the most annoying flies....
But, back to that girl. She bore similarities to that boy. The one that worked at the old library.
Ok, some things I should wait to think about, I mentally scolded myself. First, I was going to ask one of the nurses some very important questions....
"Ahem, Nurse....." I suddenly spoke up, and one of the nurses turned around. She gave me a fake smile, like every one I’ve gotten since I’d woken up, before she replied, in a slight Texas-style accent. "Yeah, Hun? What is it?" As I said, way too friendly, to me...
"Well, I’m just curious as to why I suddenly woke up in a Hospital. Who exactly brought me here? I mean, I couldn't walk while in a coma, so..." I replied, slightly annoyed now. My headache did not help this.
"Oh, a nice boy named Brice brought you in. A bit cocky, but still nice enough..." She replied cheerily, as if that answered all my questions miraculously...
"And, he looked like...?" I pestered, and she frowned.
"Well, Hun, he had..." she thought for a moment, and I sighed. “He... He had yellow-ish, spiky hair, and really, really bright blue eyes.... At least, that's what I remember..." And, with a small, apologetic shrug, she left the room, as did the other doctors.
So, it WAS him.... Damn it, he probably had to carry me all across the town for a proper doctor...I blushed slightly at that thought. Anyone that would have seen that would have been a bit confused. Hell, I was confused, too. How had he even found me, after...? I shuddered slightly, remembering the smell of alcohol on Chase's breath... Even the thought of that Damned drunkard of a teen seemed to bring bile to my throat, and a cold chill to the room. I mean, I couldn't count how many times that stuff like that had happened. I mean, at least those other two boys, off to the side, didn't seem to think that beating me up would be very fun. Heck, they even looked sober.
I'd never really hung out with one of them, Mitch, much. Sure, we had some classes together, and had tried to engage in small conversation, but, as I’ve said, I’m not really a talkative person... I'd never seen the other boy with him, though. At least he didn't agree with Chase's group....
So, back to that other guy... His name is Brice? Ok, I can check him off my name-list, I guess... I wonder why he had even decided to "rescue" me, so to speak. I mean, it's not like we even really knew each other....
Then I saw it. One of my Rune-Books was placed on the table beside my head. So, I'd forgotten a book, and he was being nice and returning it.... Though, why didn't he just wait until the next day...?
It just didn't make since... Any of it... Unless...
Seto, stop thinking about that, right now. Great, that creepy voice inside my head is back.
