Seto's POV;

"Guys! Seto's back!" Sarah shouted, bounding up the staircase two at a time. I rolled my eyes, before walking into the main hallway. When I realized I didn't close the door, I huffed, and muttered something in runic. The door swung shut with a long creak and a dull thud that shook the wooden frame of the windows...

Being a sorcerer has its perks...

I could hear Sarah telling-more like screaming- at Luna that I was back. I also heard Derek yell at Sarah to be quiet and that he would be down soon. I huffed slightly- I was out in a coma for two months, and he didn't even have the decency to say hi? Oh well, most of the orphanage kids were a lot like me- antisocial that is...

"Rosa? I'm back!" I shouted, looking around as I came into the main room. It was a large room- a couch and a TV in one corner, a half wall deprecating that from the large dining room. Rosa was bent over in the kitchen, headphones in, dicing some carrots and other miscellaneous veggies. I smirked slightly, leaning against the door frame to see how long it would take her to notice me.

It took her a full minute to look away from her task. I guess she heard Sarah shouting and was about to yell at her when she saw me, tapping my foot slightly with an amused look plastered on my face. "Well, hi!" I greeted. Rosa, despite her Hispanic/Latino heritage, she was surprisingly pale- probably from being inside all day taking care of the building and its inhabitants. She smiled slightly, her brown eyes warm with relief.

"So I see you're out of the hospital- again, I should add..." I rolled my eyes, before she added; "The other kids might not act like it, except maybe Sarah, but everyone was worried about you..." She sighed, going back to putting the diced carrots into a pot that sat on the stove.

"Yeah, but they should be used to it by now. I mean, I'm kind of problem-prone, you know..." I shrugged. "Though, I'd prefer not to be..."

A multitude of heavy footsteps tromping down the stairs told me that Sarah had successfully rounded up every sorcerer, Mage, hybrid, and normal person taking residence in the home. I sighed, watching as Sarah led a parade of powerful people down the stairs, chatting the whole time about whatever was on her mind at that exact moment. I counted the people as they came down- Sarah, one; Luna( her long grey hair and ears hidden under a beanie) two; Derek(book in hand, thick frame glasses *check*) three; Abby (Sarah's older sister and a moderate goth) four; Jordie( with her odd mix-up of combat boots and a band tee/skinny jeans) five; and little Mark (or Marky), one of the youngest orphanage residents and basically the closest person to family that I have. He trailed in the back, but when he saw me, I swear his excitement would be able to power all of Las Vegas for a week.

As they all masses in the main dining room, they chatted amongst themselves. Well, almost everyone- little Marky stayed behind, and was looking at me with the same mixture of awe and surprise that Sarah had when she first saw me.

"H... Hi, Seto!" He bounded up to me, and I smiled slightly, ruffling his messy brown hair slightly. It was weird how similar we looked- same hair color, same eye color- I swear anyone who didn't know we were all orphans would have thought he was my little brother..

"Hey, Marky..." I greeted, and he took my hand- or at least, tried to- and led me to the table where the rest of the kids were sat. Everyone looked up from their conversations as he "dragged" me into the room.

If there was one thing I hated, it was people staring at me. It was weird- even with people who I've known for, like, forever- it still made me feel sick. As little Marky led me to my seat-and after I bumped my cast on the table a few times, which hurt like hell- I finally took my seat. There was an awkward silence before everyone went back to their conversations, regarding me like they always did- like I didn't exist.
